I think I joined shortly after the crash, but can't really remember. It has been a LONG time though. I joined when I bought a 96 maxima se, and picked that as my domain name. I have had many maximas since (and LOTS of other cars between maximas) but have come full circle and now have another 96 SE. I remember when I would search ebay for "maxima" and come up with 75 results. Now you get 75+ pages..... been a long time.....

 

Have we met? I saw you're @ UCLA. When was your 1st meet?

If I remember Correctly, surfermax's first meet was either in San Francisco or it was the ride we all went on to some lake in Vacaville for a BBQ...been to a few meets. I do remember Surfermax, just can't remember which meet it was at

 

maybe it was the first SF meet.. it's been a long while.

damn good to see a large crowd still going strong. I purchased my first maxima back in 97, a black 5spd SE. I dont even remember when i joined but just wanted to mention its great to see the site is in good hands and running better then ever.

I was here, left to drive a Frontier and Titan, and am now back....and VERY happy to once again be a Maxima owner!

 

I remember when MaximaRider totalled his 95 after my first max meet...I think it was back in summer of 2001.

Him and some of his passengers were in a hospital for a while, and they ended up making a full recovery...I can still picture his car smashed, as I still drive through the intersection a few times a week...

 

I remember that. He was the car in back of me. I saw the whole thing coming. I remember coming back to the meet after the medics left. That was a day I will never forget.

Note to Arnaud, how do you feel after the other week at the bar and WC run at 3am. Hope you had fun. LoL.

 

Despite me losing two friendships over the accident I'm just glad everyone is ok. I remember all the OG's, medisonic was one of my fav with his NGAPLZ license plate!

Synki, that was an awesome night, thank god for that WC and lil nap I took, i really needed it. As for DD's, i remember having that stripper in the palm of my hand, literally.

lol..yup, Steve Mitchels gave me the link. It's been so long that I forgot my user/pw!

SHO is ok. It's off the road for the next week or so while I swap in my fairly built up 3.2 motor. I just started a new job and I'm swamped with grad school classes so I dunno when I'll finish it. Soon, I hope. I'm planning on keeping it for awhile but getting a new daily driver in a year or so (EVO maybe) and turning the SHO into a dedicated open track car..

So you're rock'in a 350 now? What about Deezo, Greg (medsonic) and Delio and all the old crowd? I should read through this thread when I get a chance. Any get togethers coming up? Would be cool to see some old faces..
