Still drive it once in a while, too. But our son puts the most miles on it any more when he's in town (his DD is spelled "Kenworth" and I think he's in Iowa today).

Wow, I didn't realize how long I have been a member since 2003. I used to be on here all the time when I was in my 20's. Now I'm in my late 30's still have my Maxima and I haven't been on here for quite some time, since I bought my Jeep SRT/8 few years ago driving mostly in it. It has evolved quite a bit on here however I haven't noticed if the membership has grown or shrunk on here.

 

Wow, I haven't been here in a long time, cool to see this thread and reminisce a little. I changed my username from "bowiemax" many moons ago, not sure if anyone here remembers me. I used to hang out with some of the DC guys, went to Maxus in 2001. Sold the Maxima back on 2007, I still miss that car sometimes.

Nothing exciting, I was a tech at a Volvo dealership for a number or years, so I got a Volvo S80 for a song. My toy now is my bike, 2006 Triumph Bonneville America.

 

Thinking about it as well. I miss this place. Learned how to debate online here.. Lol

 

I have been on this site since I bought my car in 1997 under the name Maxryder97 then do to inactivity my account was deleted lol hence the name change. I dont post so much but I have spent plenty of hours reading and doing research. I cant count how many times this website has helped me with my Max Thanks to all you kind fello maxima owners.

 

I haven't been on this site in a long time. I sold my 99 SE a couple years ago I miss that car, I had it for 9 years and it was awesome. I have a 2013 Civic Si sedan now, which I love and in a lot of ways reminds me of my Maxima.

Actually my mom is going to get an Infiniti Q50 AWD Hybrid tomorrow. I've test driven it with her a couple times. It's a sweet car. So the VQ is back in my life again!

 

whoa, I feel like a triple OG. I still get email replies for this thread from time to time. I was on 4DSC back in 1999 and lurked here until I registered in I believe 2001, not sure. The Maximas are long gone and have been replaced by a 99 Mustang GT 5 speed and a 2008 Camry SE v6. Both which dunk on the Maximas even when they were fully modified.

Lots of good memories hanging out on here and in person with other Maxima guys at the MCC meets we started back in the days. Great cruising memories and friends made that is for sure. I am not sure how popular Maximas are now days since there are so many cars out there that are great.

I would like to say RIP to 1FSTMAX who passed away earlier this year, waaaaay too young. RIP.

Shout out to all the OGs from my time period haha.

Checking in again. Of the OG people I know, I just got married, but no kids. 1 other I think got married, and everybody else has kids already.

 

After driving a 5-cylinder for the past 7 years, I'm back to the world of 6-cylinders.

This time though, it comes supercharged from the factory.

I believe this site went live on August 20th, 2000. On a side note, I think some of the crew date back to even a few years earlier using mailing lists and other forms of communication.

 

Rack up another year for me....12 years and counting.

13 for me, but the maxima may be sold today so my time here may be limited.

 

We're back in the Maxima family again, with our "4th" 4th Gen. We bought a used DD, 1999 Maxima SE-L 5 speed, Crimson Blaze, with leather. Forgot how fun they are to drive! My regular car is a 2009 VW GTI 6 speed (United Grey Met/Anthracite Leather) 4 door. Our family hauler is a 2007 Honda Odyssey EX-L (with RES). Nice to be back, even if we were greeted with a few minor things to fix, knew it going in.

 

Had to look up what "RES" meant because I had absolutely no clue. Am I really that old already?
