Damn, I've been around too long. Even before Altezzas were out (I am ashamed to say I was the first in the nation to carry Maxima altezzas)....those were the days :hehe:

 

man, I can remember when people were pushing for them to be made so badly...and than once they were released and everyone was buying them, the general forum was filled with bash threads...real ooooooold schoooooool right there!

 

I personally spent almost 6 months bothering APC and SPW....that was lots of fun.

 

when people were complaining about how much DavidL7 charged for his red/clear tails....now they are going for 200+ for used sets.

 

old school is the days were there were a handful of boosted maximas...that was probably pre 5th gen era

thblue ran a 14.3 then put S4 headlights
BrianV had and blew an I30 engine in his S/Cd 97
Y2KevSE only had a CAI and ran a 15.2
There were no "diamond cut" clear lenses
HlH blew his auto and was th 1st to do the auto-5spd conversion
Roadbeast ... hehe won't go there
Glok, ran a 14.3 w/ a CF hood (Camry)
There weren't so many ricers or LED's
Emax showed the now Cattman headers didn't add HP, even compared to ported manifolds, remember the pics? The headers were black and everyone was going nuts for them.

Apparently Russ is contemplating moving into his own place!!! The guy is so obssessed with his vehicle(s) that he decided to make sure his home and vehicle stay conjoined.

 

Actually I blew my stock 97 motor and replaced it with a 98 i30 motor. I think that motor is still alive; did go through a couple trannies though.

I'm not as much of an OG as most of you guys but I still remember most of those events.. and they days when Sprint and I raced to be the first one to post a response, and bashing Craig Mack was a daily thing (all in good fun) haha.

I was here back in 96' when the DC club was an email list and there was no BBS. I remember Shing's travels across the US, the fund to get Cheston to Maxus 01' from Cali to DC, Meeting David L7 in person to see my first supercharged max, Woodear making too much money for the org, Booker's stories...(i was in some of them), Andi Baritchi, Matt93SE back when he was Matt93GXE and he made a set of speaker pods for me and turned me on to the Focal speaker line. I remember rewiring almost everyone's corners and foglights at Maxus 01'. Russ's mishaps with credit because he kept buying cars.

 

I remember when Mehran had the supercharged auto max and swapped for the manual, I remember maxima.ml.org...

heh I remember when I ran the website for the DC chapter ...I think from 98 or 99 to 2001 or so

i remember we used to make chat rooms when the org was down to talk, bring in all the maxima owners from our buddy list. haha and maxima.org used to **** me off back in the day....

 

been here since mid 2000...previous SN was "My4DSC" which was somehow lost a few years ago...the maxima's been gone for a couple years now...i had an 00' GXE 5-spd w/ 19's, Stillen SC, Nitrous...

currently driving an 04' Forester 2.5XT that's is quicker than the max ever was...

still i miss the maxima...

damn a lot of registered year 2000 people. I was here a 2 years before I signed up to the org. It was my brother's pc at the time so all I did was go on the site and just read countless and countless hours or god know what. Half of those things at the time didnt make any sense to me.

i still remember how i was on the older forum, just lurking and never did post much, then i went back to taiwan, and it was GONE?? then this one came up =D. things have changed a bunch... i still remember when the off topic was free, and when kev lived in the test posts forum. the arguments between turtle max and ravious about the OS twin plate clutch and all those punks scamming us .org memebers.

 

Damn ya know, its hard to believe I joined in 98 when I first bought her. Ah the memories. If only I would post more outside of Ot, my post count would be higher. i remember when I was at 16 for the longest time, then Ot posts stopped counting and that's all she wrote.....
