If I'm at a stoplight, 4/5 times i will keep my foot on the brake, only if I am on a flat surface that is with no potential to roll. Sometimes I'm just too lazy to keep it there.

Not sure. I'll experiment with it next time I'm in traffic on a hill. I hadn't noticed a car doing that before.
