??AutoLock??
??AutoLock??
Has anyone ever had a mAxima or any cAr stolen w/ that autolock brake club?
The one that goes in the bottom. When the car is stick, it goes on the clutch. Im curious as to know what theives can do. I actually shot at mine and it is bullet proof... is there any way they can override that. please reply. Thanks

ive got one, my first max was stolen and after some research this seemed pritty good, didn't hear any bad reviews, the only thing i read where some one got it off , the thief broke the entire clutch pedal assembly (yes on 5spd cars it goes on the clutch) but in the end he did not get the car.
I would recomend a simple alarm (nothing fancy cause in the end most theives can bypass them)
The brake or clutch lock along with a fuel cut off switch to the fuel pump or the igniton.
And the wheel club woud be good to, if a theif saw both clubs with a alarm, he would probubly move to the next car.

kewl
yeah well by them braking the whole pedal, they aint going know where cause they cant shift.. i got the brake club on my clutch then i have a steering wheel club w/ the extension downwards and i tuck it under my ebrake so that they cant lower it. its pretty kewl..i got 2 cutoffs and a 100lb pitbull. lol.;.
You can't saw it off, the only way they were able to saw off the club on the steering wheel was they saw the steering wheel cuz it's hallow steel, not the club. I saw it on 20/20 which they demostrated. The Autolock looks harder to break, but it was suppose to be place on the brake pedal, not the clutch.

Waste of money. Those things come off in 2 seconds by cutting the steering wheel or whatever it's braced onto. You don't even have to touch the device to get it off. The materials in your car that it's braced onto are so soft a simple bolt cutter will chop through them and have the lock off in less then 2 seconds.
A hidden fuel pump cut off switch is the best way to stop your car from being stolen. An alarm is the best way to keep a thief out of it in the first place.

no , on 5spd cars its goes on the clutch, what the hell purpose would it sure on the brake pedal of a 5spd????
To me the brake club is the best thing to compliment an alarm and a cutoff.. The brake club is sometimes even hard to take off by me, and i got the damn key.. lol.. Its truly the best. That lock cant be picked either cause its a round key. For those that are not familiar w/ the "AutoLock" please see your local pepboys or R&S strauss. Its the best 49$ you can invest in security.. If they steal my car one day i will come here and erase all this good $h*t im saying about it.. lol..
well the way it work is it plants the foot of the auto lock to the floor and it's clipped to the metal in the brake/clutch pedal so you can step the pedal down.
why can't someone twist/bend the autolock to the side. this will bend the bracket/pedal arm but it will still be ok to drive. bending it to the side will give you enough leverage and enough room to drive since the foot of the lock is no longer resting/pushing at the floor. you don't think it can be bent? the long lock give u a decent amount of leverage so you can bend it easily. u think the guy stealing your car cares if your pedal was bent?
it'll slow them down...but don't think it's theft proof..because it's not.
