Cassette that reprograms computer?
I heard through the grape vine that there is a special cassette tape that reprograms certain things about the car. For example: You have a cassette that is made to take the governer off, you pop it in and play it and *poof* governer is gone. I don't know if there is any truth to this at all. If the cassette exists what exactly does it do, where do you get it and what things can be reprogrammed?

I have a special cassette for my max and it was only 10 bucks.
I got it from walmart and it connects to my ipod, it lets me here songs that only my ipod can hear. Its crazy.
Although it may not be that far fetched cause u can run diagnostic checks on our cars through the radio

The cassette exists, I've used it! I can send it over to you free of charge if you're interested but only if you buy a bridge I also have for sale. Trust me, it's a steal of a deal... you'll regret it if you don't get in on this!

This reminds me of other "urban myths", like the one that says the actor that played Paul on "The Wonder Years" is really Marilyn Manson.
No, really, I think this may stem from someone who found out about how some home computers back in the 1980's were programmed by a cassette type and player hooked into the computer. If you listen to one of the tapes like that it is very interesting sounding. Maybe they thought that this was how people must have modified the ECU back in the day, maybe...
