anyone know if Akebono pads are good?

anyone know if Akebono pads are good?

saw them for a decent price at autopartsworld.com, wondering if anyone has used them or have any reviews on them.

get the originals are the dealership, my mechanic said they are the best pads that prevents squeaking

Definitely true, if you can afford them, unless you want performance pads.

I got the akebono ProAct ceramics. braking power is like stock. they are also super silent and are either very low dusting or have a very light dust.

haven't heard about them, but i'd say go with Hawk HPS...they've got excellent stopping power (~20-30% over stock)

I forget how much the dealer usually wants for pads, but some folks think they are expensive (alot of 3rd genners are broke). Doesn't bother me much, I got's a job yo! Heck I just dropped 1.1K on the all-out MattBlehm 300z front bbk w/ 2pc rotors! Can't wait for it to arrive!
