For those of you that have filled your stock mounts with poly-urethane. What product did you use?
How long have the mounts been installed for?
Are the mounts weakening due to heat from the exhaust manifold like what was happening with the place racing engine mounts?
Any products tested that I should stay away from?
Anyone use epoxy as opposed to poly-urethane?

Your helpful input is much appreciated.

Been in 2.5 years
Nope, no weakening that I can see. Still going strong.

was it a 2 part mix or straight from a tube?
do you remember what durometer the urethane was?

i might have some helpful pics there for you. i used Shore A 80 urethane (part # 8644K11) purchased from www.mcmaster.com


have had my mounts filled for almost a year and no problems yet.

80shore Poly here too for a couple years. No weakening at all. Just real messy stuff to work with; seal that backside well so it doesn't leak out.

I did my real trailing arm bushings. Again so far it has worked great. Just nasty stuff to work with. Gloves are a good idea.

hey how did you do these? did you make a mold out of something? i was thinking about messing around this summer and making some bushings by making a mold out of old film canisters and then cutting the polyurethane or something.
