Possible RECALL...
#1
This concerns anyone that has discoloration on there bumper. For instance, I have the artic white 97 and my rear bumper is almost gray or dirty white. I know that this is a known problem with Nissan Maxima's of the 3rd and 4th Gens, so I called 1-800-NISSAN-1 to complain. Basically, the rep told me that there really hasn't been enough complaints to do a recall or paint refund.
Everyone who has this problem, please take 5 minutes and call to address your concerns. They are going to state you are over the 3 year/36,000 mile paint coverage...who cares! If they get enough calls, they might issue a campaign (recall) for the bumpers.
1. Call 1-800-NISSAN-1
2. Press "0" to get to the rep (they are open 9am - 5pm)
3. Explain your problem and suggest that they should resolve this matter for their loyal customers
4. Get the reps name and reference number of the phone call. (Retain this for your records)
Let make them pay for their mistake!

i too have this problem, and i called nissan today. again the guy told me the same story bout the 3 yr/36000 miles warranty thing... but he also told me that in the north east region alone there have been double digit complaints regarding this... i guess as previously posted, if more people call them, they might do something about it.
