I don't know if there was a post about this before but I was just bored and looking through some car accessory sites and noticed this:

What do you all think? Is this worth buying? Seems like a nice little thing to have on our oil filters.

 

Not sure how much that would help since the filter is so small compared to everything else your oil touches that retains more heat, but it wouldn't hurt anything. It's cheap enough so get it if you want.

 

I see...yeah good point. I was just bored and thought I'd throw it out there.

 

It wont work, there is no room. I test fit one a few years back. Its possible to MAKE it work, but I dont think it will reduce the temps enough to notice, or even at all. Get a real cooler and mount it up front on the A/C condenser.

Not worth the money. There no way it could cool the oil down.
