I have a bone stock '97 SE that's in pretty nice condition. I was walking out of work with a coworker and we passed my car...

"You got rid of your old station wagon for that heap?"
"It's faster."
"Hey, you got nice rims! Are those stock?"
"Yes."
"Did you buy it new?"
"It's ten years old."
"Bull****. What year is it? 06? 07?"
"97"
"daaaaaamn"

I remember when I was looking to buy maxima and I went to this place that brought cars from cali to VT(where I live) and the salesman (owners son) told me not to buy a maxima because it is a girls car. He told me this and he drove a jetta.

Well, if you try to spot cops at night, I go by the placement of the yellow running lights with regard to the headlights. Cops around (ESPECIALLY troopers) have the HL/YRL GRILLE YRL/HL setup. If I see yellow runninglights inside of, right next to a headlight, I slow down lol

Yeah, I think the day's of spotting the 5-0 like that are gone Albany already has some new chargers, get this, they even have a taurus! Anyway, hopefully the new police vehicle will have a way of distinguishing themselves. I don't really speed, but I do walk the line mighty close lol.

Actually, I just installed clear bumper lights today, and as I was parking my other car in the driveway, I glanced at the Max parked in the street, and I had to do a double take because I thought it looked kinda like a cop cruiser. I dunno why.

"My grandma had a Grand Prix."

The comment came from someone at my old high school who had a 91 Honda Civic that had a hot air intake and a noisey muffler.

I went to a dealership with my mom who's looking at a Honda CRV and we went for a ride with the salesperson. I was driving and he said:
"What kind of car do you drive?"
"2000 Maxima"
"This thing is fast compared to that car isn't it?"
"......ummm..."

Oh, and another non maxima story.... I have an '88 Mustang GT thats modded up and i'm at a stoplight and a guy pulls up and says:
"nice car"
"Thanks man"
"My brother had one but he got rid of it cause he wanted rear wheel drive"
I closed my window...........

It's not really a comment, but I tend to have a lot of problems with people thinking that just because I have a fast car with one or two mods, and I'm stopped at a traffic light, means I want to race them. Almost every time I am at a stoplight next to a younger kid in a typical V6 slushbox sedan, he floors it off the line. Usually I just ignore them, because I don't want to put any wear on my clutch or tires just to show off in front of some punk kids, but it's funny.

I was at our local street racing spot talking to this guy and he was telling me about doing performance stuff to his impala SS. He says "I went to this shop to see about getting a chip for my car and the guy starts telling me about how much horsepower it will give me. So I tell him I dont care nothing about horsepower. I want the car fast. It could have a million horsepower and still be slow." I tryed so hard not to laugh in the guys face.

Yeah that is pretty funny 3.2L SE-R lol, but it sure looks like a 6 MT to me ...
But I have never seen that color combo black leather and beige console. Maybe it was an accident/fire/water damage, and they replaced it with black leather?

EDIT: Those seats look damn new too....

"That's like something my grandma would drive"

"my corvette is way faster"
what year is your corvette?
"1990"
is it a stick?
"it's a convertible"

*ignores dumb ghetto blonde chick in chatroom*

last i checked, the only thing a 1990 corvette had on a 2003 maxima was 2 extra cylinders and a body that resists dents :P

Yesterday in the Krispy Kreme drive thru, the lady at the window told me what a nice car I had. I thanked her, as she continued telling me that her sister has a "sage green" car just like mine. I asked her what kind of car is that (Knowing full well that Nissan didn't make a sage green Maxima for their 6th gen), she said, "you know, the one like yours, an Altima........."

I told her that mine was a Maxima......... She very politely and somewhat awkwardly sighed.
