Need part number for Z32 caliper o-ring seal
When you take apart the rear z32 calipers and I dont mean just take out the pistons but actually split them apart there are two small rubber seals. The picture below shows where they go. These seals are not included in the standard rebuild kit. Does anyone know what the part number is or where I can buy them?

ah geez...the way i understand it...you're not supposed to separate the caliper halves like that. they (nissan) do not sell those o-rings.
if you still have the o-rings you might be able to find some replacements from mcmaster or something.
good luck

best bet is to go to the dealership and see if they sell it; they can look up practically any damn part on their systems. Then just ask for the part number and buy that ish online. Though there is some truth to what PAMudslinger said: they may have the part, but it might be one of those weird things where you have to buy the whole caliper assembly

Oh well, I put them back together with the o-rings that were in there and tightened the bolts down as much as I could. We'll see what happens when i put them on the car.
pulled the caliper off the car and TWO of the long bolts were missing, the other two were finger tight and the caliper was leaking at the seams.
I was able to repair it by helicoiling all of the holes, BUT you can't find those bolts anywhere... they're a very strong and strange size bolt, so they'll cost you about $40 a piece IF you can find them. I wound up using some 7/16" grade 8 bolts and helicoiling the threads. was able to torque it up okay after that.
for those O-rings, I've replaced the ones in the above caliper with 'generic' o-rings from the parts store "dig through here and see if you can find one that fits" box.. haven't had any problems with those calipers yet and they've been on the car for over a year.

No I didnt strip them, I was very careful about that since its aluminum. I put some thread locker on there too.
Im really not that concerned, if they work, great, if not, like I said, Ill just buy a new set. I got these calipers for $20 at a junk yard, if I ended up screwing them up, it wont be a big loss for me.
