I just pulled this link off the NYCMaximas web site, check it out, may help some of you clean older or yellowing headlight lenses with Brasso...

Yeah, I read about using aluminum polish the other day. I will try it out today and see how it works. I will be using the Mothers polish I have tho.

Still seems a little hazy. Aluminum polishers work to a point but dont work on heavy pollution as good as wet sanding. It is a good maintance step afterwards to keep them clean. Also, you can check out the product flitz. Also, remember to add you headlights to your normal car cleaning and maintance. Make sure they are cleaned and waxed to protect them.

Looks like the same amount of improvement any ordinary plastic polish would do. There's still some significant pitting in your headlights from what I can see, and wetsanding would probably be the best way to get them *completely* clean and remove the pitting.

Looks great for what it did though!

Tried this as well. Makes a noticeable difference even after one application.

Nothing magical about your discovery. It's just a diff grade of polishing compound. Even sandpaper can be seen as polish. Just very, very rough. Metal, plastic, car polishes are all similar. Just different amounts of abrasives.

If your plastic is real bad, I'd try rubbing compound as mentioned above. It's probably like a 1500 grit sandpaper give or take. But you definately would have to follow that up with one or two more steps of finer polish. ie.. rubbing, Mequires # 3 then plastic polish. etc..

Did nothing for me. Might be because I have Turtle Wax brand tho. But the Aluminum polish worked 10x better than the rubbing compound.

It depends what condition your headlights are in. If the headlights have pitting and other heavy scratches, a heavier/rougher abrasive will be needed to return the headlights back to new condition. The owners should be able to determine what product will work for them.
