ok, i dont usually race until punk asses wanna mess with a max. i was cruisin down a 2 lane street and a ford explorer V8 comes up next to me and floors it pasts me givin me a clown look with a side dish of a middle finger. next light, i floor it, he has me till 20mph, and then after that i barely start pullin on him. up till 85-90 he was behind me by 1-1.5 car lengths... WTF? sine when did SUVs become so fast??! next race. a integra.. whatever the hell kind of model it was, sparkly purple which i'd say 18inchers chromed and said S-R... wow.. a type s and type r combined. lined up at a race.. he gets the head start, and i blow by him like it wasnt ****. walked him bad.. by 70 he was i'd say 2 cars behind. decided to take the right and go home. o well.. the explorer surprised me the most. anyone know what these v8s run in the 1/4?

Heh

SUV's are gas guzzlers for a reason - big V8's .. I raced a Navigator a while back and the thing was dead even with me =/ .. Mind you, they have nearly 2x the displacement but still! ..

What year was the Integra? 94+ or an old stinky one?

v8 Explorers have a 0-60 of about 8.3 seconds and the 4.7L Grand Cherokee is at 7.7. The Sierra C3 is at 7.3 seconds. These trucks have MASSIVE engines with gobs of torque. DO NOT underestimate them.

No, beating a 5 speed Maxima with suspension and intake/exhaust mods with a stock auto Maxima is as good as it gets.

Whatever you do don't race against a Ford F-150 Lightning.
He'll smoke you like you were driving a Geo Metro.

Some of those new Chevy trucks kinda worry me with all that power they are putting out.

The SUV should get you off the line to about 20mph since they hook up very well and have tons of power. By the time you hit second gear you should be pulling on them hard and bye bye from then on in...unless of course it is one of those rare Lightning strikes.

yup, i'd say he pulled a good .5-1 car length up to 20-25mph.. after i got good traction i pulled on him, hit second and pulled harder. and yes, he flew by me bumpin some rock music with a sticker on the back sayin "pornstar" wierdos....
