I think I saw somewhere that someone has a write up on how to install sidemarkers. Can someone give me a link? Cumalot, can you tell me how you did your wiring. I'm thinking I want to wire mine the same way you did.
Thanks

This information was given to me by a fellow member, Slickismax. Hope this helps.

What I did was make a little cardboard "template" showing me where the sidemarkers will be, so that way they will be even on both sides. Then I taped the sidemarkers on backwards, so that they are face down on the fender. Then I made a mark on the fender where the hole needs to be using a bit that fits inside the sidemarer hole, I beieve I used a 1/2" bit. Then I removed the sidemarker, and drilled the hole using the 3/4" drill bit. Then I put the sidemarker in, and drilled the two holes for the mounting screws. I bought my bit at Ace Hardware, it was about $15. As far as wiring, I connected the brown wire the the positive wire from the corner light, and connected the gray wire to the positive wire from the turn signal. I had to run wires to both. Don't connect them to the battery, or else they will be on all the time. If you wire them the way I said, they will come on with your parking/headlights, and they will flash with the turn signals too. If you need any more help, let me know.

Supa Lao: I only suggest one change >>

Do not wire them to the parking lights. Turn signal repeaters are only supposed to light when your turn signals/hazards are flashing. Wire them to the hot lead of the front bumper turn signals (the pair at the front of the bumper). Make sure you put a little sealant to prevent moisture from entering the hole you just cut in the fender. In fact, it might not be a bad idea to put a little touch up paint on the exposed metal area that you just cut into.
