White cars with % tint v. noob question

I have a white maxima as well and just got mine tinted last saturday for $170.


I was debating till the last minute if I should go to 35% (legal in CT) or 20% (illegal).


I got the 35% and I do think it is a little too light during the day.. but at least I wont have cops busting on me or having to re-do the tint..

I helped a friend do it once and I know how to remove my side windows. And I am taking it slow, one window each night after I get home. Why is it everyone seems to be afraid to do tint? I know it takes time and care, but its not exactly rocket science. If you get tint thats a computer precut you don't even have to get the razer blades out.

There are about 100 youtube videos on how to do it even if you don't have a clue.

My buddys got 35% front and 20% back on his 530i and he got pulled over 3 times, in 4 months.
Im in bay area CA, and cops here are Fa"jj"ats

i dont understand why someone would get a darker tint on the back windshield than on the sides of the car. if anything you would want a lighter tint on the back, so you can see the cars behind you more clearly (i.e. look out for crown vic or impala headlights behind you). i had an accord with 5 all around and at night i coudlnt tell what the make of the car was that was driving behind me. when i get tints now immona go either 28 on the sides and 35 on the back or 20 on the sides and 28 on the back. i dont think immona tint the sunroof. it is a "sun" roof afterall.

good luck with the new car amd the tint. my maxima was white with black leather so it will look awesome

not the most flattering pic - but it shows the contrast well. dark interior will always make it look darker especially on a lighter car
