You guys remember that mod that was posted a few weeks ago that let you re-wire the side marker/blinkers so they would both blink?

Well does that mod work on the 99 Maximas? Or is it only for the 95/96 ones?

I have it done on my 97. It will work with your 99.

I agree, it will work. I just did it this afternoon on my 95 and I've got one suggestion. The original instructions said to get some extra wire and solder (or crimp) to the side marker lead and then splice to the turn signal lead. Well, if you take the bulb out of the turn signal assembly, you can pull the wiring harness out the side of the car far enough to get to a separation point where it's real easy to splice the 2 together without adding any additional wires or connections. It's real clean and you can wrap the whole deal up when your finished and there's no clue anything was changed. Course, how many people are looking behind your bumper anyway? OK, so I'm weird that way. Either way is cool.

But are the color for the leads correct? Black is ground and green is power right?

So the black wire (from the marker) connects to the green wire of the side blinker right?

I did the mod and it worked beautifully! Thanks to the members of this forum..I have done my first mod to the Maxima..and it was successful!!
