How to check the fans

My fans arent working and i was wondering how would i go about seeing whats wrong. How do i check the motor or the fan relay switch?

How do you know they aren't working? The right side fan should turn on with the AC compressor. The left side turns on in response to water temperature. If you turn on the AC and let the car idle on a warm afternoon, both fans should turn on.

You can disconnect the electrical connector and cycle the fan by applying direct current to it. I'm not quite sure what the procedure for testing the switch or relay is though.

yeah i turn on the a.c. but the fans are not working. when the car overheats i lift up the hood and I see that the fans was working.

You see that the fans were or were not working? I would also check the relays as well. They are located in the boxes on the left and right side of the engine bay (it's labeled on the box).
