My friend's cousin has a skyline GT-R. It all started when my friend told me that his cousin has a 400hp skyline GT-R. I said, he was lying. So yesturday, my friend and his other cousin told me that his skyline has a skyline GT-R. I didn't believe him because I only saw the Skyline once in Vancouver. Yesturday, He asked me to goto his cousin's house. At that time, I just went.

We got to his cousin's house and my friend's cousin showed me the Skyline in his garage. It was the exact same skyline I saw a year ago! It looked so damn stock. It has stock rims, brakes, Blue and stock body kits. I was like damn! No way in my life will I see a Skyline in Vancouver.

He popped up the hood and it looked all stock. I could see the HKS turbo and HKS intercooler and Greddy powerflow. Nothing special, just palin stock. The exhaust was HKS also. My friend asked his cousin to offer us a ride, his cousin hesitated, but agreed. Sorry for the long story, here's the good stuff:

When he started the engine, its like a race car engine! It's hard to describe. It started with a ultra low bass from the engine, not the exhaust.

He took us around town in the 50km zone. I was sitting at the back and my friend sitting at the front with his cousin. We were following a bus going at 60km. So my friend dared his cousin to pass the bus. After he said that, he changed lane the Skyline rocketed from 60km all the way to 130km in no time at all! It's just like riding in an airplane taking off! I couldn't feel my weight! I was weightless in that kind of speed! It was like riding in a roller coaster going down hill!

Then we took a turn, because we were going from 120km, we had no time to brake, so we slowed to 70km and we took a very tight 90 degree turn. The tires were screeching and it exited the turn with some over steer, but I wasn't sure if it was over or under steer. I was freaked out from the ride! I awlays thought I am a reckless driver, but after a ride, I think I am a safe driver.

I am not sure what mods he has on his car, I am going to call my friend and ask him.....

I just want to share this with you because most of the time we thought cars like Maxima is fast, but it's nothing if we compare it to some really nice cars.

oh yeah and 70 didn't really sound that impressive in a 90 degree turn. I can do it with my maxima @ 50-60 when my 15 inch good years RSA was in good condition, those skyline has 18s and probably wayyy better tires... my uncle has taken me in his IS300 around a 90 degree turn @ around 70, the tires were making noise but it hung to the road very tight, don't exactly remember what happened but I think it understeered. Now if a skyline can't outurn a IS I'm kinda dispointed

All I know is its a R34.

Hey guys, will the skylines be in the US?

I just did some math. In two years if I work part time, I might have enough for down payment.

Also, I might sound really hyped. But don't forget that there are tons o f Skylines in US, but in Canada, seeing one is just like winning a lottery. I was lucky that my friend's friend's cousin has one and I had a ride because I doubted them.

I have a Skyline GT-R too

it has 1072hp and tops out at 242mph. Of course I only own this car on GT3 for the PS2. I wish I had a real one, lol.

Hey, I wish I can drive a Skyline on PS2! I want to see if their cars are realistic enough.

I will get me a PS2 once they have developed a DVD burner cheap enough to burn PS2 games.

LoveSick,

Highly unlikely that a Skyline will be brought to U.S.
by Nissan but if you really want one you have 2 options.
One is to go www.skylinegtr.com and buy the car their
for an outrageous amount of money or join the U.S. Air
Force get stationed in Japan and buy a used 95 Skyline
for $4000 and pay $15000 to make is U.S. spec and let
the U.S. Gov't ship it for free back.

Actuall, I heard that there are only like 30 Skylines in the US at the moment. At $90,000 a pop to import they are a rare find for anywhere in the US.

I dont know if you read that right, but he said 70km, so that would be like 55mph, right? Will anyway that still is not enough maybe he punched the gas for it to oversteer.

My choice of Skyline -- a 95 GT-R V-spec -- would run about 50k from Motorex.

Skylines in the Northwest area is not a big deal. There was one at our little meet the other week. There a group of guys importing them and they have a blue R34 GTR I believe but more interesting is that they have an older R32(black) that they drive around. Those are much cheaper than the newer ones. Would I like to have one? Hell yes! Would I like to MAINTAIN one? Hell no!
