I just purchased a 2001 Nissan Maxima!! I love the features and the ride. However, I can't help notice that it does not seem as fast as my 95. All the same I am very happy!

I want to add a spoiler to it soon. Anyone have any suggestions on where to get it at a good $$$? Let me know.

Also, Any other suggestions about aftermarket options or general thought on the new model maxima would be appreciated.

My mom said the same thing after she got her 2K and I got her 95. . . I don't know how much you can compare the 2 as mine is a 5 spd. and hers is an auto, but she doesn't notice and significant power gains.

Thanks! I must admit I have been a LEXUS man for the last few years. I enjoy the features of the LEXUS, however I just can't get enough of the Nissan Maxima! I also have a Nissan Frontier 4X4 Xcab RED. I love it too.

con grats. if u like something real sporty, u can look into the "A&M" custom spoilers, i think they are the ones that made the spoiler for that one eibach maxima. it's a touring wing (Carbon fiber) i saw it in person and really liked it. in the beginning it looked awkward but it kinda grows on u, it's small

Is the priemium that they put on the AE worth it? You do get 5 extra HP and the body kit, and color, but the only thing worth getting it for is the LSD. I am sure that it is nice and all, but and extra $4-5K for one, I don't think it is worth it. Get a normal SE in a good color, slap on a Y-Pipe and get a Stillen body kit. . . I personally like it better (The BK on the back on the AE doesn't jave the same flair).

 

May be I should exercise my employee benefit and get the AE for invoice + 2.5% dealer delivery fee. That will definitely drive the dealer nuts!

If the 3.5 engine rumor is true, I would rather wait.

On a side note, the new Frontier Desert Runner is very nice.

 

I used my employee purchase program to buy my Maxima. It came to 1.8% below invoice. I was told the cost would be 2.5% above dealer cost. I guess that means dealer hold back and any other money they get from Nissan.
