like bill said.. you been here how long? ask medicsonic.. he has pics of his 95 GLE for you

Fog lights are standard equipment on ALL GLE's. And other than installing different bulbs, anyone who would change them is just in a mod frenzie.
maybe in the 5th Gens.. all prior models SE = Foglights...

As for chrome door handles, I was talking about the inside.
who cares.. so you bling bling inside.. its a cheap mod from the Inifiniti dealer like 1MAX2NV and Bill have done..

Homelink? I need it. Those of us with garage door openers don't need another plastic device clipped to the sunshade, getting in the way when you actually lower the shade.

Make rivalry is one thing. But model rivalry among us is a bore.
exactly.. you over paid for your heavy pig and thats the bottom line .. actually for a little bit more money you could have had an I30 (True Luxury)

You're sensitive about your GXE aren't you...

I didn't waste my money because I don't plan on spending extra money on those items now, and they came on my car standard.

If you knew what I paid for my Maxima you would be surprised anyway.

Have a nice day medic!
Keep this a GXE vs. SE war. Have you ever noticed that there has never been a GLE vs. the others war? WE KNOW we paid too much.

Actually, I have never had a problem with it. But it is nice to have, and definitely looks better.

i saw GLE owners buying two tone leather from leatherseats.com .. the maxima leather seats are cheap and eventually crack.. right medsonic?
You are right. Nissan beige leather sux donkey nads.

Not all GLE's come with fog lights.. custommaxima.com aka greg took out his factory fog lights and put in aftermarket ones..so you tell me..
This is another GXE/Se war, keep the fat pigs out of it.

GXE comes with chrome door handles
Its a preference, I like the chrome, others like the body color.

who needs it.. most people have garage door openers.. I live in condo..what am i going to open? my mailbox?

yup you are right.. [/B][/QUOTE]

woah, just because some SE owners opted to swap out items doesn't mean that VeeTec wasted his money - those SE owners you are referring to wasted money. if you plan on modding those items, yeah a GXE makes sense, if you don't, an SE makes sense.

geeze, if you wanna talk money, you have to compare the initial price each of you paid, the costs of the mods, the cost of the installation or the value of the time you took to install the items.

You put the Sentra emblem on the Maxima and I will put the GXE on my car. I actually liked the way Nissan didn't badge the older models.

sounds like you got a great car for you, but realize not everyone wants a car like yours or has your resources. it makes perfect sense for you to buy a GXE, it makes perfect sense for VeeTec to buy an SE.

comparing your life to anyone elses is apples to oranges, you just have to trust people made the best decision for themselves, not try and control their decision - i'm mean heck, we all have maximas, we all must have good judgement.

SprintMax,

I will help you end this one.

I bought my GXE used thinking that it was a GLE.
When I bought it, it had factory fogs, factory wood trim, spoiler, custom seats, sunroof, GLE wheels, and a GLE badge.

When went to Courtesy Nissan to get some parts they laughed at me and told me that I had a GXE. But, told me that person who sold this car was smart. They bought a GXE with a sunroof and got everything else added on by the dealer which still ended up being less than an SE or GLE at the time.

Since then I have added the indiglo gauges, upgraded the suspension, got a SE grill and removed that ugly GLE badge.
And I still haven't paid the price of a GLE.

My max GXE was cheaper, is lighter and looks better.

Can you share what or why you say the GLE is fat or slow or heavy, in so that it is different than the other trims in those aspects?

Generally people think GXE is good to get if you plan on doing alot of major mods. But if you don't or don't for a while, the SE already looks good stock.

This is kind of confusing. Under the hood all three "trims" are exactly the same, yes?

Generally the SE + GLE have white face gauges, upgraded sound, leather trim (shifter, steering wheel) leather seats, alloy wheels, fogs, ect.
