Don't let the 2.8 liter displacement fool you, they are FAST! So fun to drive too.

328i Sport/'00-5spd Manual- 0-60=6.9 1/4=15.2/92.1MPH
328ci/'00 5spd Auto- 0-60=7.1 1/4=15.3/89.6MPH
It looks pretty clear to me that a 5spd max is quicker then one. I know for a fact mine is .
BTW I beat a 5spd M3 from 0-95MPH the other day by a foot. The guy botched up his 2-3 shift and I gained 5ft on him

Well this month's Motor Trend tested one at 6.5, and I've seen 328's with times of 6.3 before.

Too bad they don't make the 328 anymore...and there's no 3-series review at all in the new motor trend.
They old 328s aren't that fast...and stock 5-speed 4th gen will edge them out. Hell...when I was stock, I barly got edged out by a 330i...now I kill em.

i find it hard to believe that this guy beat a s2k with stock maxima, auto too.
is it that hard to shift?, tell me if im wrong, but all u need to do is press on the gas till u reach high rpm and shift, wats so hard about that.
quick question, can u rev when ur car is moving ?

heh...I remember reading in a normal car mag about an S2000 taking a Boxster, stock for stock, in the quarter. Using laws of inference, I guess auto maxi's can take boxsters?
Seriously though, S2000s are nice cars for what they are, but I'd be ****ed if I shelled out over $30k for something that crept around like an integra in daily driving. I used to be a loyal Honda fan (90-95 was the pinnacle of honda design/engineering imo...95 6-speed Legend Type II coupe, late 4th-gen prelude, 92-93 Integra GS-R, 92-93 accord two-doors still had some character...). But as of late, I've abandoned them. They could totally redeem themselves to me by making both a 6-speed CL-S (I keep hearing from people that its in the works), and an S3200 solidtop, the S2000 with the Honda 3.2 (or something among those lines...a 6 in that small, rwd, sweet-seating-posture-and-sweet-shifting/handling machine would be nice. Get some torque to spin those rear wheels )
