Help!! Replacing Knock Sensor 1998 Max.
Hello,
I'm new to this forum but need some help. I tried to replace my Knock sensor but my hands are too big to get in there. I looked at other things to take off but I'm lost on what tio do next. I think I could get it off with a long ratchet but there's no way I can get it started to put it back on. Any ideas would be greatfully appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

10. cd skips with the bose
Plus it has a mind of its own..
Not enough room in the engine bay to work on the engine or change simple parts. Not much comfort on the leather seats so I add an extra seat cushion.

I have the same issue too and I have a 3rd gen. I can't wait for summer because it makes the first 5 minutes better.

Don't get me wrong, I love my maxima to death, but there are some things about it that **** me off beyond belief. Feel free to air your maxima pet peeves here!
1. I have a 6-speed TE with those metal pedals. They look cool, but when it rains, beware... When I get in the car, the bottoms of my shoes will be wet from the rain, and when I go to press the clutch in... SLIP!!! My foot slips off the clutch and the car jerks like a motherfreaker. And this will happen until the water dries up. I hate that! I gotta make sure i carry paper towels to wipe off the bottoms of my shoes to dry them before I start driving
2. When I'm in first or second gear at low speeds (say 2nd gear at 20 mph) and I let off the throttle, the car will jerk. I can't stand that! Why!? I heard it was because of the drive by wire throttle... but what's the freakin point!? A quicker throttle response? Give me a .324 second slower response from a cable throttle if it means being able to take my foot off the gas without that gotdamn jerk!
3. What the hell is up with this freakin turn radius on the 5.5 gens? I swear I could turn a tractor trailer better than this gotdamn thing. I was coming from owning a 5th gen, expecting everything was the same... so I go to make my daily u-turn at the end of my block, and... SURPRISE! I almost hit a parked car! I had to re-configure my whole u-turn judgment. I'm still mad that I can't cut those quick u-turns that most cars can.
So needless to say, I'm having a pretty bad day when it's raining, and I'm driving slow while making constant u-turns...

Had a 6th gen - HATED the turning radius (common complaint). Also, it was IMPOSSIBLE to back the thing up (small mirrors and large blind spots)! Oh, and really hated the PAYMENTS!
Traded the 6th gen SE for a 5.5 gen GLE. Love the heated steering wheel, like the heated seats (when they decide to heat up), like the outward visibility (I can actually back into a parking spot on the first try!). HATE the road noise, and wouldn't mind a bit more knee room. Also, while the big brake pedal (had to buy an auto so the wife could drive it even though she hates it - which I love) and the gas pedal are well spaced for heel-toe (okay, so only the guys in car magazines really do it), my big size 13 brogans sometimes catch brake pedal right when I want maximum acceleration.
Sorry for rambling...

Bose Tape Deck wont keep the tape in for more than 2 mins. CD player plays whatever CD it feels like playing. Steering wheel leaves brown pieces of paint stuck to my hands. Hurray for 4th gen!
