I hate how not only the turning radius makes U turns into K turns but the steering squeaks whenever one has to turn the wheel all the way out. I think it's a replacement hose issue but regardless it's annoying as hell.

can't find the oil filter

I have a 2011 Maxima with AT. This is my fourth maxima and I have always changed my oil and filter. The filter seems to be in a different position than my 2002 and perhaps it is covered up by a plastic air shield. How can you get to it?

lol

My dad owns that gen and your #3 is so very weird indeed. I own a 4th gen and my only gripe about it is that the auto shifter **** is not sporty or good looking at all. It is this huge almost fist thing that you must touch and see everyday so why not make it nice looking?

How right now (I think) my muffler is making a noise when I go over a bump. Don't know if that's how its supposed to be, but its definitely annoying. That and the wheel design on my I30 . Found some nice replacements on Tire Rack so maybe I'll look into getting them when my finances are in better shape next year

I don't think that's the tensioners you're talking about. I think it's the infamous Nissan cam sprocket rattle...

Yeah, yeah. Come back and complain when you've owned a Pontiac Trans Am or a G35 coupe. Those rear bucket seats are fail.

I hate how freaking high the RPM's are when driving at highway speeds.
I live in Georgia and even down by Atlanta people do 75-80 MPH.
2900-3200 RPM to only be going 75-80 MPH. The Honda Accord coupe V6 has to be doing 90 MPH to be at 3100 RPM. My Dad's TL is right around 3200 RPM at 90 MPH.
WHY THE **** DOES IT HAVE TO REV SO HIGH?? YOU KNOW THE GAS WE WASTE?????????????????

Well if you have a 2006 or older Maxima (don'e see any info from your OP), those cars (new) do have an extra gear or two in the tranny. Saw on another forum a guy's LS460 (8-speed auto) does 1800 RPM around 70 while my I30 is at 2500

Its A 2000 5 Speed and I know how you feel. I should be right around there too, if not higher. I really don't remember right now. I should though. hahahaha

5.5 gen turn radius! I still hate it to this day with a burning passion. My mother's '01 Grand Caravan has a better turn radius.

One thing I came across is that the sensors seem to be 4x more expensive compared to other Nissans at least for my case, I got my air bag lights flashing and its a front crash zone sensor, costs 500 dollars. For a altima it costs 100? 400 dollars difference and why 500 dollars for just a sensor? Even finding it used is hard

I cant stand having to replace one fuel injector, and then 2 wks later another one is on the verge of dying smh! have to take the whole stupid manifold off again. And dont let one of the window regulators die. they seem to fail at the worst possible time. I had my driverside window regulator fail on me while i was inside the automatic car wash!!!lol

Ive noticed that too, on a new impala going 80mph the rpms are right near 2k. On my 93 maxima gxe going 80mph, my rpms are around 2500 to 3000.

Just remembered how my trans is like $hit in the morning. Very first shift "pushes" the car, it flares a bit, and then high-RPM 1st -> 2 shifts take forever, holding 6k RPM. Maybe time for a tranny drain and fill?

My '11
should have ventilated passenger seat as well, not just the driver
Not that the stock radio is bad, but it should be better
Wish exhaust note was more like infiniti
a little more torque from a standstill would be nice
All minor personal quirks, car is great overall

Oh I forgot to mention:
-excessive oil burning
-tensioners noise
-can't seen to make a full u-turn at a on lane traffic light intersection
-little things that cost stupid money.eg.sensors,ballast,headlight bulb
-how hard they made it to change the stupid sparkplugs and pcv valve

Haven't owned this car very long but I'd say I was pretty pissed when I had it for about a half hour and put 30 miles on it when the clutch just fell to pieces. I won't blame nissan for that one though.
