The fact that Nissan didn't make a coupe version. The world needs more coupes.

What I hate ? My girlfriend running out of gas with it and since then, the engine keeps jerking (misfire). I changed the sparkplugs. I tried changing the fuel filter. Keeps running rough. Any thoughts ?

with a JWT tranny controller the A/T becomes a formidable opponent against a M/T. It becomes a very good tranny

wrong place for this but the only engine that gets hurt by running out of fuel is the diesel engine which gets sediment inside the engine and can destroy it if ran dry of fuel. Do you have a misfire code? its not misfiring if you haven't its probably a vacuum leak somewhere or a dirty throttle body, IACV or MAF. Could be a blocked EGR as well. GL

You know...it was the intermittent hard starting issue, but since i got that fixed I can't think of anything that pisses me off. The RMS or rear lip seal oil leak annoys me, but doesn't **** me off.

I'm happy with it right now.

I love my max i just hate the random things it does
1. if i hit the power lock button all my doors lock except my passenger front. i have to push the lock **** and extra 1/8 inch to make it lock.
2. i intermittently get a p0158 and p0138 but they go away every couple hundred miles.
3. i bought my car with 19" wheels so the ride is hella rough and looks like a monster truck
4.suspension creaks.
5. stock exhaust which bangs against god knows what on every bump
6. small aftermarket support

The damn axles and rear brakes stick or freeze up when it gets real cold. My Altima has never done that.

Lol where to start.

1. I have the beige interior my door panels are a different color then my whole brown poop dashboard.
2. Car does a weird jerk downshifting 2 to 1.
3. Back seats don't fold down
4. My trunk is so uneven no matter how many times i try to even out the wood peice.
5. Small little rattle when hitting the gas a little? I don't think its the TC.
6. How fast this car rust's through my first winter with it i even cleaned out underneath and everything every week.
7. I also feel like my car is losing power.
8.Car can't stay outside over night in cold weather without my brakes locking up.
9. Exhaust makes a whistle sound idk what it could be.
10. Suspension Sucks
11.Last but not least should of bought a stick

All of i can think of for right now im sure theres more, Its my first and last maxima i think.

Gas mileage in the city... Can't really complain though, I knew what I was getting into. Also, I might be nitpicking here a little bit but I can't stand when my blinkers don't turn off after I'm done turning lol... Not the end of the world but it gets old fast...

Absolutely nothing.
I love my car.
If I do have a problem with it, it just gives me an opportunity to learn so I can do it myself.

It's always satisfying when I finish a big repair then call an auto shop to get a quote for the work I just did.

I typically save around $500 a job and my car is in good hands with me.
I don't have to worry about halfa$$ mechanics anymore.

My Maxima is the best designed car I have ever owned, and I will keep it forever without being mad about it at all.

The only reason for me to even want a different car, would be to get a RWD because drift.

I love the car, but like others mentioned the turning is ridiculous. I have to make a 3 point turn just to back out at work if a truck pulls in beside me. And of course the uneven wheel gaps.

5th gen:
1. Turning radius - as mentioned, I've seen school buses make sharper turns.
2. Signal indicators are in a bad place. Should of been placed at the bottom of dash display instead of top. My height/seat/steering wheel position hides the turning indicator lights.
3. Climate control does not keep settings if you power it off.

Yeah I agree on the turning radius thing, but besides that I love my car and even that is not a big deal to me and I make u-turns just fine. It's all a matter of getting used to it and knowing what the car can do.

I specifically love the 5th gen VQ30DEK, great engine. Which is why I'm on my second one. My old I30 had a slightly better turning radius/slightly softer ride but I like my current SE Max better than the Infiniti version.

One thing I really didn't like is the stock suspension with front end being higher and just generally it being clunky, but that's nothing some maintenance and coilovers can't fix.

I like how reliable the car is, and how easy it is to maintain.

I hate the lack of aftermarket support that maxima's have (that will soon change)

Irritating...Bought the 2013 Maxima with the "tech" and "performance" package. But the tech in the car (maps, bluetooth) lags. It takes FOREVER for the bluetooth switch over! The dealer says he has an update to add more "memory" to the stereo/nav. I'm not convinced that it will help. Anyone else having this problem? Any solution?

My 6th SL gen rides like a Lexus product but the handling sucks its jello soft I wish the handling was tighter without penalty to the ride quality. When i'm on the highway I can't zip around curves and its killing me!

4th Gen:
1. As soon as I fix one thing something else goes wrong. But its a 16 y/o car with 200,*** on the odometer. So at some point the "catch-up" game will start to slow down.

2. Rear wheel wells, rocker panels, and Rad support rust out easily in the winter.

3. Some jobs that should be straight foward can be extremely labour intensive and cost a lot at a shop. Ie: blowen head gasket and your motors done because its cheaper to swap the motor than it is to replace the gaskets.
