Russ quit running your mouth. You are making Maxima owners look ignorant. You ALWAYS argue about the 5th gen being faster when IT ISNT. I own a 5th gen and wont argue that 4th gens are track proven to be faster. As for 5th gen vs 4th Gen autos. The 4th gen auto is also faster. Russ I would put money that if you raced your acclaimed "factory freak", which ran a stellar 15 flat against my brothers(Chi99Limited)auto max it would be a VERY close race. BTW Russ please tell me why many of the other forums, such as ClubSI, hates you? Could it be that you dont know what you are talking about?

I have personally seen Nealoc187 and MAX7 run at the track. They are both 4th gen 5spd's with mods and can CONSISTENLY run mid 14s. If you dont believe it we have videos to prove it. I havent personally seen any 5th gens run mid 14s at the track.

But you are not the only one that has a Maxima. Gotta realize that. You can't make statements like THE TLS IS SLOW just because you never lost to one. Besides, your Maxima is probably modded but most Maximas out there are not (same with the TLS). I am not a great driver or anything, but I have never ever ever ever lost to a Maxima in my TLS. That, exactly, is my point. It doesn't mean ****.

We can kill this now, the TL-S and CL-S are fast cars stock. Auto Max's lose to them by a couple of feet.

 

The 5th gens power advantage is over 80 mph. When I raced against them at Maxus, I would stay ahead until about that speed and then they would leave me. Now than my car is performing differently, 5th Gens wouldn't pull on me.

 

I thought this was a thread regarding beating the TLS.

I had a 99 SE, now a 2002 SE. Doesn't matter if some gen 4 is faster than gen 5 as there are a lot of other differences. TLS/CLS might be faster than the Max, and that doesn't matter. There are too many factors and if beat another car doesn't mean your car is faster. As long as you love your car, who cars. Just like fighting, you can beat someone, but on a different day he or she can beat you. Too many factors.

I very much enjoy my Max, even though sometimes I let SUVs or POS get in front of me

 

As I have said, until I am proven wrong and have been beaten by a 4th gen with the same mods I do, they are not faster period.

Oh btw, Clubsi hates alot of Nissan people, not just me. It was going before I was ever there, and since I supported them and Nissan, I got my *** chewed and I always kept in it like I do here. That is the only board that really hates me. I am on like 10 other boards, and don't have problems anywhere else. Neither have I, I have yet to see a 4th gen hit 14s at the track close to stock. Seen 5th gens.

Well if you think about it, neither do we really. I know alot of people here don't post loses unless its to a much faster car, like a LS1 corvette or camaro or something.
