These Autobacs high floe intakes have been listed on Ebay for awile. Are they legit before I go waste $50?

rabson, my man, im glad you brought this up.

I have that exact intake, and have had it since summer. It's sweeeeet. Only thing is it doesnt fit perfectly, (cross screw the 2 nuts instead of all 4) but it works holds just as well with 2 cross-screwed. The sound is awesome. But, like all POP's, it will lag ya a lil off the line.

As far as a POP goes, it's good.

I forgot to add it comes with that adaptor (shown) and a brace to support/prop the charger up while in use. All in all sure as hell beats payin 100+ for JWT and stealin'

Is the sound different at idle or wot. Also how much difference would a Y-pipe make in regards to sound with this POP?

At idle, you can hear the intake sucking in air! Pretty damn cool if you ask me. Under hard excelleration, you hear a nice deep grumble. I garentee the first time you hear it, it will be sweet! Sometimes I do not hear the grumble. Also if your just cruisin around at low speeds, and accelerate, you will hear the girgle.

I am not too familier with the Y-pipe sound cuzz i dont have one. But from what I hear the Y is quiter than the pop, and adds a little deep definition.

Can't beat it for $50. I bought a K&N drop in for almost $50. Huge waste. I just want a good sound now. Besides my brother asked me what I want for Christmas so I e-mailed hime the Ebay link.

I drive alot for work and do not want it to be overly noticeable in the car. Not that the Bose could not drown it out. I just do not want the civic/prelude/hyundai garbage noise with this. I want a growl. not a whine.

You will not hear it over your music. It sounds NOTHING like a cheep 4 banger. It is very nice. Not as deep as a v-8, but really is a deep quality growl.
