VQ25de ?????

Anyone on here who has a little bit more knowledge on maximas than i do want to let me in on what this is ? I found it on Egay so , who knows ? I noticed that it looks like it has a mevi on it , just curious ? Thanks in advance !

Lol i honestly didnt read that much into it . So are these good motors for hp or are they crap ? Ive never heard of a 2.5 ?

Likely out of a Cefiro. They also made it with a VQ20. I'm not an expert or anything, but I found this.

yes that is an MEVI. the VQ is made in a lot of different displacements and put in cars overseas. this isn't advanced performance though so I'm moving this to general discussion.

So what would the pros be to putting this engine in VS using the higher displacement 3.0L USDM and installing a 00VI which has proven to be better than the MEVI?

Typically, lower displacement => lower fuel consumption. They're marketing it as an efficiency mod. Worth a shot if someone wants to spend the time and money on it. Personally, I'd much rather just do what I can with the VQ30DE.

Oddly, when I swapped out my VQ30 with a VQ35 my fuel economy went up a few MPG's.
