Five good long years, saying bye to my Max

Man it's been a good run, but my 4th gen has just been too much of a time and money sink for me to keep going. I traded in my car and got a 2010 altima just a week ago. I'm just here to say thank you to everyone here at the forum that helped me with my car problems over the past years. I plan on donating here before I leave for good by the end of the week as a way of saying thank you.

These forums are the by far the best forums I have ever been a part of, in terms of DIYs, the help offered, and sheer expertise. I hate having to part, but unfortunately I can no longer contribute .

Good luck to everyone in your endeavors

-Michael

P.S. Do we have an altima sister forum?

I ended up getting the QR25DE 2.5S version of the Altima. I do a lot of daily driving, mostly city driving, and so every little bit of the mpg saving helps my wallet.

You say you traded in your car. Did you mean to say that, or did you sell it privately?

If infact you traded it in, you would have gotten next to nothing for it.

You are absolutely correct; I would of gotten next to nothing if I traded it in just like that. However, after 4 hours of haggling over at the nissan dealership near here the manager ended up giving me the price I was going to sell my maxima for privately and used it as a down payment towards the Altima. I had 10 different deals made up before I actually got one that I wanted, with the monthlys and interest in my price range.

haha I'm sorry , I have a few pics on my phone but they're no good--too much glare from the sunlight. Better pics to come tomorrow

Thanks, I felt the same way. I wanted to keep it Nissan for sure. Despite the issues I've had with my car, the quality of a Nissan ride is by bar the best of any make I've ever dealt with (excluding obviously expensive name brand makes )

edit: Spelled some words wrong

We ate some WWII canned army foods in 1970 and they were delicious. only the canned cigarettes were dried out and the pineapples had bulges so we did not eat them. no one had any ill effects.
