Push to Start Ignition?

Does anyone know of a push to start button that still needs the key to be in the on position. All the ones i find have it so the key is deleted. a kill switch that can be hidden would be cool also.

let me know.

Toggle kill switches have been discussed in the 4th gen forums. No need for a start button, just interupt the fuel pump power.

I'm trying to understand what you're trying to do. If you're putting the key into the ignition, twisting the key, why not keep twisting and just start it right up?

If you want push-button start, why do you still want to use the key? Which goes back to the above paragraph --> if you're gonna use the key, just turn it on.

I'm just confused. Can you clarify what your intentions are?

Well the main thing i want is to make it so that if someone gets in to my car they cant turn it on, and the push start that needs a key to be in the on position seems like a good idea. But a switch to the fuel pump sounds like it would be better.

So a kill switch? Hold the switch/button, then turn the key?

Yeah. i want it set up so the car can't start without the switch on.

I'd go with this:

Just remember to switch it every time. I'm lazy, I wouldn't go this route.

If you're good with alarms, you can wire up something with the ignition switch to supply power to the starter only when both switch is pressed and key is turned. That way you don't need to flip and switches when you park the car.
