problem with throwout bearing and clutch fork

problem with throwout bearing and clutch fork
ok im replacing my clutch.. when i got the tranny out .. i took the throw out bearing out but while doing this the whole clutch fork came loose and the clip flew out
anyone have this happen ? im pretty sure i put the clip back in right but it doesnt seems to be returning the throw out bearing against the wall of the tranny like it should...im thinking i should get a new clip...any ideas?

The clip is there to hold the shift fork in the tranny. This is the Y fork that is pushed by the slave cylinder correct?? The clip just holds the fork onto the "ball" that's inside the transmission housing. But you should make sure you have the bearing the correct way and not facing the wrong way. Make sure you use the proper type of grease on the shaft the TO bearing rides on also.

Maybe a little but again, it's not really the clip's function.
