cvt clutch question

cvt clutch question

Does anyone know how the cvt shifts "gears" exactly? Does it engage the forward clutches to do so? Just trying to understand how the actual simulated shift works exactly. Thanks for any input.

Good video. Looks like its strictly oil pressure that enables the shift points? No clutch involvement whatsoever. Interesting...
