i added my impo intake to my 95 today..and was found its not as loud as it was on my 3rd gen....is there anyway to make it louder?

dunno if the 4th gens have a resonator on the intake tube, but I know the 3rd gens do.. I removed mine a while back, and the car is literally twie as loud as it was..
now, if I dump the gas at anything between 1500 and 5000rpm, it will turn heads from just about everywhere.. not that I'm screaming for attention, but it'll scare the crap out of a V6 stang if they're next to you..

at least it's not exhaust sound like little 4 bangers.. got a nice VG growl..

The resonator on a 4th gen is automaticly disconnected when you install the intake. Because the intake is bolted directly to the MAF sensor.

Matt, where is the resonator on the 3rd gen? Exactly what part is that? I have a POP Charger on mine and I was told before that there was a resonator on the intake but no one would give me definite answer on where it was. Could you help me out? Thanks.

The rez on a therd gen is after the MAF
it is on the plastic pipe after the MAF befor the TB.

I suppose you could rig an in-line *duck call* in there. (vroom vroom vs. QUACK, QUACK!) Now THAT would get some attention... :-) J/K...........

buy a cai. get stillen muffler. heck remove the exhaust-piping.

Replacing the resonator box right after the throttle body will make the intake a lot louder. When I installed the upper pipe from PR, my intake sounded much nicer and louder.
