Can't wait to see what Nissan puts out next!

Just came from http://www.nissan.co.jp/EN/lineup.html and all i can say is, Nissan has everyone overhere in the states getting the garbage while everyone in asia, is getting the hot ****!!! The sedans that they have are incredible. The engines are different form the ones we have over here somewhat, but they more than likely can tweak them a lot easier than we can because of the availability of aftermaket products. Which ever one of those sedans gets the maxima bage which more than likely be any of the ones above the skyline aka infiniti g35, will be a winner and i'll definitely have it lined up besides my modded '98 max in the driveway after about two years so they can get the gliches outof them.

Anyway it is cool to have US factories...but would they make more $$ if they shiped thier kick-azz models over here in rightdrive form.? I just saw infinity's newer line up and they are hot..anyway..blahblah

Which one do you think will carry the maxima badge for 2003 1/2, 2004, the Laurel or the Gloria?

Those v8 max's will be out during the latter part of 2003. They'll be rear whell drive as well. I'd love to see the all wheel drive option they offer over there but i know we probably won't get that for another five to seven years.

It's alomost as though, the nissan we know and drive over here is what he company discards as inferior....rear drive and the option for alll wheel drive, come on. Then their sports cars like the skyline as well as that silvia are hot as hell. I hope nissan gets on the ball and stops shutting us out.

the cefiro comment has already been addressed, the gloria and the cedric have the same sheet metal. so unless you work for nissan, you don't know the answer to that as well. No one mentioned anyting about the cima.

Just a few cats speculating on the direction nissan plans on going with the products they send our way. But if you know something we don't know please share it with us....

wasnt looking at the page when typing but i think none of them could carry the maxima badge cause they are all too boxy and they couldnt use the primera since its the size of a cavalier so it might be a whole new shape

Nissan might be trying to revert back to the boxy look, they did it once with the 3rd generation max's. But i forgot who said it earlier, the new max is supposed to be a lower grade of the infiniti m45.

I would also like to see a v-8 Max. But I must agree that Nissan does a good job of keeping the v-6's HP close to the competitions V-8's.

Hey cuz, it's not that serious, as i stated before, if you know something we don't know, fill us in. I made the comment so that you wouldn't overlook it again before posting something that had already been mentioned. It's cool too, give us your $.02 But the PMS comment was some weak **** to say. don't be defensive, we aren't here to attack one another. This isn't the chat line....!

making a V8 maxima would take away that maxima tradition of the best V6 engine on the market and might make the max move from midsize to full size sedan now tell me if yu want that or yu want the same engine tweaked up a few more horses same size lighter and still able to make mods race V8's and hand them their asses i definrtly dont think so

Well maxima's have always been in the forefront in performance, and if they haven't been the best, they have always been a major player in their category. with everyone upping the anti and getting v6's (camry's, accord, galants...etc) eventhough most our inferior to our younger fifth generation max's, to widen the gap by putting in a v8 wouldn't bother me. As mentioned the VW is coming out with their V8 for their flagship. Max always pushed toward that BMW type of performance and i beleive they should continue to get there and if possible try to surpass them if need be. I have confidence that they can maek a good V8.
