Maximazero's bodykit for the 2000+...Fiberglass not urethane

Ok guys, I was sick and tired of people starting and never following up with the numerous ongoing threads regarding the two kits that Maximazero photoshopped. Here is what I did. I called a bodykit manufacturer, http://www.onderground-design.com/ , in Quebec Canada and asked about getting this kit made. The sales guy, Eric, will be dropping by to see if there is any interest in this kit. Since I am not authorized to use the search feature (go figure..it should work, I am a SPONSOR dammit!) I need someone to post some of the threads from earlier to show Eric that there is a genuine interest in this kit...

We talked about cost and all that, but I really need to see +10 people to really get this kit going. As we progress deeper into this interest, Eric will let us all know what it would cost for all us. I know we can get 10 people, but I want more than that (it will be more savings).

Also, we need to decide on 1 style of kit for now. No poll, just those that want and are 100% in, no deadbeats. All questions will be either answered by myself, or Eric.

Oh and does anyone have any other pics of the 2 photoshoped kits in question...I remember seeing the sides and rear....

Thanks,
Harry

Wow, I think this is the 8th company that said they will make this kit. All promises yet no one comes through. Lets see if this goes through.

I called Eric and he said that he can not do the urethane...only fiberglass. It would be big bucks to get a mold made for that application...HUGE BUCKS...one company, Versus, asked for something like 100 confirmed buyers before they even attempt to make a mold. Now they did not mention how much of downpayment was to be put forth...but lets just say half now the rest later, which was something like $425 each ...that's $42500 just to get the ball rolling. Eric's number was not too far from that.

So this kit is for a fiberglass application. If we get enough people interested and the price is right, I will make sure it gets made.

IMO you won't get too many dude....FG cracks and chips really easily and that coupled with cheesy nissan paint will make users think twice...

good luck with your business venture!

Is it just me? Sarona has those kits on their site... Probably gauging interest as well.. Maybe if enough people call them, even feigning interest

Yah, but even with the hype over urethane, i don't think people will put their money where there mouth is. I mean it will be a huge cost to get those made, and if the manufacturer is asking for 100% up front, or a non refundable deposit of say 50%, would you do it?

This is the alternative, thousands of people are buying fiberglass kits. Its affordable.

For those that want a urethane kit, I will be doing some research and start another thread regarding what it will take to get it going.

As for a date, as soon as we get the people it will take 1.5 months to get ready to ship.

What about ABS plastic? I personally don't have any experience w/it or know much about it but I've heard it's more durable than fiberglass yet cheaper than urethane. I remem. custommax. mentioning these pro's about ABS a while ago.

It is fiberglass, but they are currently making a urethane front bumer to sell separately...I just sent in my info and plan to do a group buy for the front or if anyone is interested the full kit, as soon as they check over my bus license and info!
