That's probably a pretty good estimate. Place Racing won't ship these out one at a time, we send them over in batches every 7-10 days, then they ship them out in a group. We just sent a batch earlier this week (which I'm hoping will ship today), so your order will be in the next one.

This is a true group deal, meaning you get a great deal, but the customer service is a little slim (at the PR end) and patience is required.

Not a problem Brian. I was just hoping to get the intake in before the cold temps return here on the east coast.

Thanks.

I'm very sorry to everyone that has been patient with me. I was envolved in a scary situation the other day in my car. I had been driving and my throttle cable had gotten caught and stuck on one of the electrical wires on my engine that had become loose and caused my car to keep on accelerating without stopping. I had too drop gears at a 110mph slam on my brakes and get her down to about 30 mph and cut the ignition off. My damn brake pad were on fire and my rotor were red hot. Anyways I'm back now and will be from now on. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

I have yet to have time to get to the track. I need the wife to go on an out of town shopping trip.

No, I was very serious. My rotors were glowing red, and my pads or at least the remaining pad dust had ignited and were on fire. There were flames on my calipers! Very crazy. I would have to say the was one of the scariest things that has ever happened to me. So everyone be careful. Always make sure your wires are securely mounted or zip tied in appropriate locations and check them often.

Took her my mechanic and he said engine and tranny are fine. Just need new rotors and pads. Pads are warranteed so just need some rotors. Maybe a good time for some drilled/slotted rotors. Any suggestions??

There's a good selection of 95/96 Place Racing CAIs left, we have them in all colors, though the silvers are low.

Although they're not available at the same price, we have Cattman CAIs for the 95/96 in our All-Black and Silver versions - I could make you a deal on an All-Black CAI if you're interested in that "colour".

$140. BTW, I was looking at the wrong part #, we have the 95/96 kit in red, yellow and silver, but we're out of blue. And, there are several silvers, not just one.

There are no group deal CAIs left for the 97-99 Maximas, though we still have a few Cattman CAIs for those years.

Sorry, but we don't have that color in a 97-99 Cattman CAI (and there are no black CAIs in the group deal).

There are no more CAIs for the 98s at Place Racing. We have Cattman CAIs for 98s in silver - the differences are minor, mainly the much higher quality black stainless hose clamps we use - but these have to sell at our regular prices of $220. Sorry they aren't less, but I paid more for these wholesale than what we're charging for the GD CAIs.

Greg

The inventory is a moving target - as of this moment (12:15am Wednesday, 02 February) the Place Racing Maxima CAI inventory still includes these Maxima kits:

02/03 Maxima and I35
1 blue
1 red
4 yellow

95/96 Maxima and I30
4 red
5 yellow
5 silver

89-94 Maxima VG30E
2 yellow

92-94 Maxima VE30DE
4 blue
5 red
4 yellow
1 silver

and many, many Sentra and Altima CAIs.

i was bored at work so i was reading through the FAQ stickies about the intakes. when studman did his dyno he used the pr cai. i was just wondering which setup would be better, cai or the have the filter attach straight to the maf adapter because i am having problems with my filter pressing against the plastic fender piece? from his results, it seems that the wai setup gives better numbers but i don't think that they are the "real" numbers since when u dyno ur intake kind of acts like a cai from wat i heard.

You're right about the dyno not reflecting real-world situations all the time (though it is a very useful tool for tuning). Theoretically, having colder, more dense air coming in through the intake is better. That's why a lot of people say that the PR CAI would outperform a WAI in the real world. This PR CAI deal is a great buy, and I would buy one today if I had the money.

As it is, I'll probably end up going with a WAI for two reasons. Number one, these will all be sold out by the time I have enough money to spare for an intake. Number two, I'm probably too lazy to perform the slight modification required to install this true CAI. Since I haven't done that many mods before, installing a simple WAI would be easier for me.

TI can check the status of your order. Just let me know when you ordered, your name, and year of CAI you ordered. PM me though with that info. Thanks.

Yeah all sold out for 97-99 Maxima's/I30's and also 00-01 Maxima's/I30's. Email me at NismoMaximaGTR@yahoo.com if you need info or have any questions. There are still some left for a couple Maxima's/I30's and plenty for Altima's and Sentra's. Thanks.

Greg
