these are the most common spring rates for these coilovers. the higher the spring rate, the stiffer the ride. stock se springs are apparently close to 7k front/5k rear. on http://maxmods.dyndns.org, there is a section on springs which gives you some spring rates for comparison.

i might be in on this, is there a definite end date?
http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...0&postcount=62

Are all these other rates available as well? Im really interested in the 3.5k

i thought that when you have coilovers, the spring stiffness is adjustable, so why do we have to choose one before we buy them?

When should the money be sent? (from not until...?) because the car was broken into last night. If i had a week and a half i would be able to do it no problem.

I just emailed Mark240 from advautoparts (the seller) asking if he could post some info about how to choose spring rates.

Coilovers usually have adjustable ride height, camber/caster if camber plates are included, and often adjustable damping as well.

Springs are a fixed rate at whatever you select. It is "selectable" in that most coilovers fit one of several universal spring diameters and lengths, often 2.5" diameter and between 7" and 10" in length. Instead of $150 for Maxima-specific springs you can spend $60-100 a set on the springs you want that will fit any coilover that accepts the same diameter spring.

how long will these GD last or the end date for purchase ? just got a y2k max and been researching between suspensions.

cattman has a nice AGX setup but I would rather go with a fully coilover kit.

Is there any updates with the previous complaints about the rubber being torn that cause the clunking noise?

Is there anymore feedbacks?

I know this is a Great Deal esp on coilovers but I want to be assured with a quailty ride without the Noises.

Thanks

The computer is now all formatted and fresh. I just have to restore all the old files back onto the hard drive so I will post a spring rate chart and recommended spring rates for each purpose within about an hour. Was this the only major question to answer?

as long as we have 20 people can you just say you have to pay by mm/dd/yyyy? (ex. 12/1/04)? Is this an option?

Ok we will set the deadline for payment in 2 weeks by 11/25/2004. However, minimum selling prices of D2’s will be jumping any day now, we must have all sales locked in within a week with at least a $100 deposit by 11/18/2004. I hope that is understandable.

People can start sending full payments and deposits now. Please do not wait until the last minute though because the D2 minimum selling price is rising soon and we do not want the distributor to cut us off of future sales. What is sold and paid for is sold and paid for but coming very shortly (most likely within a week), we will not be allowed to sell these coilovers below a small % under MSRP

I put down $100 deposit now (I have 2 sets so $200). When you receive them from D2, then I pay for the balance. Am I correct on how the payment method works?

The $100 deposit will lock your name into the group buy so you are gauranteed a set at this price. It will help out people that need a couple weeks to come up with the money. All deposits must be received by 11/18/2004. Full payments must be received by 11/25/2004 so that we can pay for the coilovers. The deposits are enough to place the order with the manufacture on 11/18/2004.

Rear pillowball mounts are not made nor needed for the Maxima's. They however, include standard top mounts for the rear
