What happened to Redmax? I've read almost every reply to this thread, some have reported they received it and are very happy with it, but some are still waiting for answers? I really would like to buy this...

Nice looking dash GodsmackMAX, do you have any more pics of your interior? After I get the HIDs / 7" screen / head unit, I would like to add a dash trim, but not sure what material to go with (brushed aluminum, chrome, wood), some pictures will help a lot. I am mainly going for a clean look.

my dash is painted. duplicolor silver metallic wheel coating paint (advance) and two coats of the wheel coating clear. personally I don't like the look of dash kits, plus i'm a cheap ***...

Damn that looks slick, maybe I should try that and save me $100. The shift and ebrake boots looks very classy, nicely done man, where and how much did you get it for? I envy your interior, the only thing missing is customized leather seats.

I noticed your head unit is sticking out a bit, is that unavoidable for all head units since the 2 DIN above will be occupied?

As far as the seats, I'm really not sure if I want to go leather or not...

**edit** oh yeah the head unit. all of them stick out like that (at least pioneers do) i could flush mount it, but then it probably wouldn't pop out right because its motorized.

OK I've been lookin all day and I just can't find any. But has anyone posted a 5th gen install for these? I really want the 7" screen but I wanna make sure I will be able to install it without any problems first. Also I've been lookin around for a double din kit and I can't find one for the 5th Gens so I can put my Headunit in under the screen. If someone could lead me toward the right direction I would really appreciate it.

 

Also, is there a discount if I get 2 screens?

 

Does the DVD combo mean a screen and head unit, a mini external DVD player, or a DVD player inside of the screen? I have a DEH-860MP (MP3/CD/Radio) and I really don't want to get rid of it. It was $370 and I love it!

Also,just wondering about the sound quality, and specs of the dvd player since I have a kenwood amp and sub hooked up right now....what is the wattage of the player, per channel.....I just want to make sure it will be able to keep my system sounding good as it is..

Ok, sorry Corey I know there are crap loads of questions, just a quickie, I've been wanting this setup for the longest time. Finally I got the cash to spend, I'm interested in the screen, and a dvd player, let me just get this straight, if my pioneer head unit has the aux white and red ports in the back, the dvd player's audio aux (red/white) would hook up to that, then the video portion of the dvd player (yellow) would run directly to my screen? Does the dvd have s-video? or the does the screen have those options? I dont mind changing units, its just I like my local radio stations, and most din dvd players have no fm/am tuners, if they do they jack up the price. Anyhow whats the total shipped to 78526? THanks

 

youre absolutely correct in your post , yellow to the screen and sound to aux. neither the screen nor the dvd have s video.so that is not an issue total would be 260 shipped

This may be a dumb question...but since the screen would go where my pioneer deck is now, and the deck would be moved down below to where the storage compartment is...then where would the dvd player go?
