Actually its not a requirement of the Ontario Highway Traffic Act. There are no charges for not having DRL's. The requirement is for the manufacturer to equip cars with them, not for the driver to have them.

****: i am not sure how true that is... cuz a few years ago i imported my car from the US when i moved up here from Ohio and i was REQUIRED to fit my car with DRL, so i took the chrysler to the dealership to have it installed.... that was part of the import requirement.

Exactly. They have to equipped with them to meet import/manufacturing standards from Transport Canada. After that there is no requirement to operate them. Take a look at the Ontario HTA and search for DRL. You won't find an entry.

It only makes sense that you have them. They are a piece of saftey equipment that can save lives. However it is not an offence to either remove them or not have them in operation on your vehicle.

ps. Sorry for hijacking your thread, just adding correct info for people in Ontario.

im pretty sure maximabest doesnt give lifetime on the bixenons...... i might be wrong... because the single bulbs are only 1.5 years.

here you go, I've decided to go with CoWay. Mainly because he has offered a ton of great deals on nycmaximas, and he has helped me with all my question for a few months. Saleen407 is my brother, who was shopping for a birthday present for myself. I dound out and would rather get these on my own(too much $ for a gift). Tommy is a great guy, and Maximabest offers great deals as well, its just that I dont feel comfortable buying from anyone else. Coway's a good guy, very patient and helpful.
