03 maxima

hey i just bought me an 03 max and i did a lil research on the bulb sizes and color temps

so as far as i know....you really only need to change the headlight bulb (d2R) but the fog light application size is H3c? in which you said your H3 would fit just fine... right?

well pretty much what im looking for is 5000k - 6000k for the headlight and foglights 5000k, im going for the yellow lexus foglight look but ima use some yellow lexus capsules....

neone got pics to show the difference between 5000k and 6000k, im really looking for white as possible but not oem...something stronger

If you wanted a different color for your headlights, you can change just the bulbs as they come with HIDs from the factory. Also, like you said, they are D2R bulbs.

Yes, H3 will fit into the factory foglight housing without any modifications.

To the naked eye, there is no visual difference between 5000k and 6000k. I'm going to try to take pictures later tonight for you and post them so you can see how there is no difference visually.

Having had 6k and now having 5k there is a difference...6k has a slight but hardly noticeable purple hue while 5k has an almost clear color. You can tell the difference in person but only notice the colors (purple, yellow, blue etc) when put side by side. example...my 6k looks purple next to my friends 8k which is blue.

so a standard H3 housing would allow for one of your H3 HID's to fit into the stock housing of a 2k1 with no fitment problems?

Your car uses a D2S bulb. Now, for a bluish output, you will want anywhere from 6000k-10000k.

Yes, we have not had any fitment problems with our H3 kit fitting into a factory housing.

HID bulbs are all the same 35 w or 50w and these are the 35w variety, they don't get hotter because of the k rating........
