Can anyone get a gd for the valentine one or the passport 8500? So far cheapest I saw it was $280 no shipping or tax cause its a local shop for the 8500..and valentine i dont know?

yea there is no way u can get a group deal on the valentine 1, either you buy it off the black market or you pay $400.

I figure it never hurts to ask so I sent Mike Valentine an e-mail
asking about the potential for a GD for those of you who don't
already have a V1. Here's his reply:

They will always work, assuming they don't break. What will happen is that cops will start using new techniques and bands and the old radar detector won't detect them. But V1 offers an exchange program where you can send in your old V1 and pay some but not full price for a new one.

hey...y'all still using this thread? any of y'all heard of PRECISION NAVIGATION? Saw them tested in speedzone's test this year and doing pretty good. also, any of y'all had experience w/ the bel detectors? they were lookin pretty decent too (of course all was gettin whooped by the v1).

the v1 is proven itself to be the best for many years but if a cop flips his radar on right when you get near him you have no chance to slow down

check out www.speedzones.com. They do an annual radar detector test. V1 of course did its thing. any of y'all ever heard of PRECISION NAVIGATION? any experience w/ their products? thinkin about taking one of those over the 8500 or the bel.
