Inside air filter 98 I30

I read a post where someone had serviced the inside air filter on their 2000 I30. I was wondering if anyone knows where and how to access the inside air filter on a '98 I30?

If your talking about the a/c air filter, only 2k+ had them as far as I know. I'm not sure if you can modify the 98 to do it, and if so I'd love to do that mod aswell

Actually, what I'm trying to find is how to eliminate the "moldy" smell after I've run the A/C. Seems Like after I turn the A/C off, using Econ, and the fan a moldy smell comes from the vents.

Check the FAQ's in the 4th Generation Maxima forum. I'm pretty sure there's a procedure in that forum that involves lysol or some cleaner to get rid of the moldy a/c smell..

Thanks...I used Lysol as directed in 4th Gen Forum and now we're Leeemmmon Freshhhhhh!
