2000 I30T need help please
i have read the Faqs and i belive i need to ask these questions in a specific thread so please bare with me.
A friend of mine purchased a 200 I30T with 85600miles. car cosmetically is in very good condition but meachanically needs some TLC.
itms that i have questions on
1) the right front strut is bad so he ordered a Set of KYB GR-2 shocks for replacement, i advised him on these since we are going to be retaining the stock springs. My question is what else do we need/should replace in addition to the struts, i am guessing we may need dust boots and front strut mounts? i tried autozone and the guys said they don;t care those parts. where can they be found fair inexpensive and do they need to be replaced?
2) this poor car has had a hard life on initial inspection the engine bay looks like it have rearly been opened, corrosion everywhere. so i am advising my friend to get the car a tune up. We have purchased Factory belts, ngk plugs, and fuel filter from nissan, as well as a new air filter. my questions is what else needs to be reaplaced for a tune up on these cars, are knock sensors a factor here as well and if it is what is the part #, is it the same sensor i had to get for my 99 Maxima? i am guessing we will have a coolant flush at the same time as well as a full synthetic oil change. hopefull the car will pep up after this. the gas mileage is terrible ie 165 miles on 3/4 tank.what are problematic areas that should be observed and monitored.
3) the windshield wipers only work on the highest setting, we have no idea why this is and any imput would be helpful.)
4) the fog light is out on the drivers side, we tried to take it off to change the bulbs and get their size but we unable to do so because we don't know how. how many bulbs are in there one or two. we purchased one H# bulb but noticed when the indicator is on the fog light becomes lit on the side.
any help would be greatful.
also does anyone know what the stock performance #'s on the 2000 130T is?
sorry if these are noob questions but i red the 5th gen max faqs and weren't very helpful to me.

A 2K-2K1 owner should be able to give ya a little bit more specific advice, but I can give you my two cents.
Good choice with the GR-2's for replacements. Of course you could have gone with adjustable Tokico Illuminas but the GR-2's are good for the money. They should really help out the tired old suspension. With 85K I would recomend doing the boots, bearings, and mounts. If your gonna have it apart might as well. Your not gonna find strut mounts and boots at Napa or autozone...dealer only sorry. there are a few online Infiniti/Nissan stores though so you can save a few bucks.
Your tune up items sound good. I wouldn't suggest changing out any sensors unless you got a CEL light telling you otherwise. I would suggest stopping by an AutoZone and getting the codes checked anyhow in case there is a ghost code or any saved ones. You might also consider doing the coolant hoses while your at it if they are feeling soft.

With regard to question 2:
You're right on with what you have listed, but don't forget the spark plug wires too. They're critical for good performance and they do go bad over time.
Sorry...I don't have any thoughts on the wiper switch issue. I haven't encountered problems in that area, so I'm unsure where to start.
With regard to question #4:
There are two bulbs in the fog light housing. One set of bulbs acts as the fog lights. The other set illuminates when you actuate the turn signal. It is meant to cast light on your path when you're turning, so they won't illuminate simultaneously...only on the side on which the turn signal is flashing. They won't illuminate unless a turn signal is active.
