Remote Start

I started a thread earlier about my keyless entry system not working properly and I bought another remote. It doesn't work correctly either so I know it's the expensive module which I don't think is worth replacing. However I am interested in getting a remote start system installed which includes the keyless entry functions. Does anyone know what the best one is to get? Also, are they hard to install or should I get a professional?

Unless you're familiar with installing electrical gear, I wouldn't suggest installing a remote start/alarm system on your own. I would look into Python or Clifford systems.

Yeah man, i think you should have a prof. install the alarm (too much wires). also does your key have a chip in it, cause if it does you would need either another key for them to install the alarm which will be in the call at all times (hiding of course) or they sell a bypass unit which doesn't require the key, your choice.

What exactly do you mean by a "chip" in my key?

I really like the Autopage security/remote start systems. Very nice and very reliable. I'm going to be putting one of their 2-way pager/remote start systems in my car in the next month.

Where can you get replacement keys with chips in them, from the dealer only?
