well..at work today(cerritos nissan) one of my friends found out that i have an infiniti i30.anyways, he used to work at the nissan corporate and he told me that there used to be something called "the L program."

anyways he said that Nissan corporate built six special i30's. ranging from the years of 98-99.

each one came with special exhaust,suspension, and interior modifications.

sadly,however;funding was cut before the program was finished.

edit:yeah, i know about i30 limiteds...this is something totally different.



i will inform you guys when i find out more about this.i have some more strings to pull

 

I recall reading something like what you mentioned above. Also Mr. K (one of the Nissan Collector) also has his special version of Maxima/240SX/300ZX built.

 

yeah...the tech who was telling me about it told me that there is a possibility of getting some of those parts they used.i need to go contact some people to confirm this though.

 

Hmm interesting. I had heard of the 4th gen SMX stillen maxima before, but never L program I30.

 

yeah...apparently they only built six before funds were cut.BUT! there were still parts available before they transferred him to cerritos.

 

You said they came with special exhaust and suspension, but I am already set as far as those go... But I would be interested with the interior modifications. I really want those wood inserts for the door panels that came on the Cefiros... Simon says they don't make them any more.

 

yeah...well.im planning a trip to philippines this summer...my mother has an old friend who has a store that specializes on nissans only.hopefully i can get hooked up cefiro parts from him.

oh of course.i'll definitely keep that in mind.there are more cefiros down there than there are i30's here.so im positive that there are bumpers and other stuff i can look up for you guys.

*but then again there are those who are going to mainland asia which has an insane amount of cefiro parts laying around.some we havent even heard of...

but yeah...im at work right now and the VP for nissan north america is walking around the dealership.hopefully i can find more info about the L program.

 

they put in xenons in the headlights...

I heard rumors of several asian A32s with HID and I beleive I had once even seen a picture of such headlights (They were a 2-piece setup like the stock I30 lights) but have never found supply for these parts or really very much more info, it may have been an option limited to a handful of Japanese A32s, they were reflectored, not projectored, and they were setup for HID, the reflector looked drastically different from the J-spec Halogen reflector... wish I could find that picture again....

 

Any more info on the "L" program, or where to get these headlights...having some kind of stock, plug-n-play HID would be awesome!

Nah...... the 2-piece Cefiro Headlights are on my Cefiro-rized Maxima.
