Help, I need a little assistance. AGAIN
I have a 2001 infiniti I30 that's been having the dreaded alternator issues. I replaced two altys. One was a used one strait from the junkers. My second was a reman from Pepboys. The removal and installation went flawlessly so we thought. I left the car running and didn't realize that I was low on gas. I came back outside to notice that my car isn't running no longer. First thing I thought was the gas and it must've ran out. I walked to the gas station and now the car is starting briefly than stalling. I did notice the battery amber was on but I disappeared after charging the battery a little. What should I look for to try and fix this?

I had the same problem where my alty just kept blowing. In my case it was bad luck with the alternators. I bought a rebuilt one from autozone with the lifetime warranty and after replacing it the third time in a month, it has been working fine for over 6months now

Thanks for the fast replies guys. I've noticed a few of you guys had a bad MAF or fuel filter also what are the symptoms of that? I started my car up today and it ran. Began to stumble until I rev'd it a little.

Get your alternator tested(or do it yourself if you have a multimeter) and report its output.
Idk why but when you say "began to stumble until I rev'd it a little" the IACV is the first thing that comes to mind esp on a 01 maxima/i30.
What are your rpms at idle if your car actually stays on?? ~600-700 is where it should be.
EDIT:
Here you go...Read up on it and see if it helps you narrow things down.

It was around that way. I took a look around everywhere in the engine bay it looks as if the throttle body has been removed once before. I am not getting any cells at all. I know before I replaced both altys. I notices a slight roughness and then it went away. I never experienced the stalling until the day before. The link that you provided is this a how to replace the IACV? Also what are good sites to order parts from?

1. Check your battery voltage with the car off
2. Check the altenator voltage output with nothing on (no load) with car running only...
3. Check the altenator voltage with everything on , a/c fan high, flashers on, bright lights on, windshield heater and back glass heaters on, etc....
4. If the altenator is good, it should maintain a least a 12.5-13.5 + voltage....if the voltage starts dropping check & clean your grounds @ the altenator, behind the passenger headlight, on the enginetiming cover and check your battery cables and clamps!
5. If the altenator is unable to maintain proper voltage order one off nissanasapparts or courtesy...GL
