hi, i'm a n00b and this is my...

99 maixma. i'm not new to the import world but i am new to the nissan and deffenatly new to the maxima world. i got into and accident in mid october, i wrecked and according to the insurance company i totalled my 91 integra. yes i'm a honda guy, anyways i was able to keep my car and got a little more than $1400 for and because of desprate need of a car i bought a 99 maxima for super cheap.

i got this car for $1200 which needed (at the time i've bought it) both front CV axles, replacing, new windshield, new hood, passanger fender needs to be color matched, no radio, front full suspension bushing replacing and new rear struts. the a/c needs a little recharge but still blow cold a/c. with all these things wrong with it i still think it was a good deal.

here are some pics of the car and my new project (i have 2 other projects).

this going to be my daily driver so i'm not going to go to extreme or all out on this car.
it came with some fugly fake carbon fiber "M3" mirrors that i painted satin black.

^^^i also painted a piece of the front bumper/grill satin black. didnt come out that bad.

my plans for this project (which i called daily maxi) are...
-full "classic" iconic dynamic lip kit (going to custom fab the rear lip so it doesnt wrap around the exhaust)
-custom "mini" kosozku style exhaust(tips)
-window visors
-rear iconic dynamics roof/rear window spoiler
-jdm one piece I30/cefiro head lights
-LED tails
-ksport lowering springs
and one of these three wheels

1. Volk GR-C's (17's)
these are still a little iffy because of the offset(which is perfect in my opinion) and the size of the wheels will look kinda small.

2. ADVAN A3A's (17's or 18's)
these are fifty/fifty aswell, but i'll probably buy them and put them on my girlfriends 06 sonata

3. ENKEI SPORISH (17's)
these i'm leaning towards...

Please dont' get the window visors....IMO they don't look good and they don't do anything.

I'd put money into a new paint job and some body fixes before those wheels...

Oh and I vote for #1 on your list.

i gues window visors is a honda thing i'd thought i'd get it for my maxima lol. as for the paint, i'm not going to paint it til i get the lip kit. i'm still debating between the stock gold, the dark green thats on the titan, or something that would go with the fugly tan interior...

1. I like the volk the best. 17's are really not that small on a max. I could swing either way on 17 and 18 and some 16's look good too.

2. please...please...please, i implore you once you get the lip kit, don't put it on until you have money for the paint as well. maybe just my opinion, but nothing ruins a car more than unpainted body parts....and 22's...but that's a different story

3. if this will be your daily, you might want to start with a rear sway bar. cheap first mod and will increase driving fun factor by 5. 5 being a completely arbitrary number that i just threw in there.

4. good luck and welcome!

nice exhaust.

as said above fix it up before you do anything. it's wikkid rice to have rims and crap body panels and a fart can exhaust.

good luck with the car. how does it compare to your teg?

^^^well my time range was 6 to 8 months but i unexpectedly put a down payment on an engagment ring so the project probably be delayed for a couple of months.

lol, i've been into hondas since late 99 so i've been through and seen almost all the trends (honda wise). the integra is one of my projects (since i got in an accident with it and got the maxima with the insurance money) and that one i'm going all out and making it into a street/track car (autocross).i have big plans for it...

the other project is the white gmc sierra you can see in a couple of pics, that one i'm going to make it into a semi (i say semi because its going to look, not really function) prerunner/baja truck with a 99 denali frontend...

now my decision is leaning towards the volks or the advans, more towards the advans because the site i'm getting them from have the volks in 16 with 4x100 which i want to get for my integra.

as for the lip kit, i know better than to put it on the car before painting them. but like i've said, i still cant decide on a color to paint the maxima.

where can i get a rear sway bar for the maxima? i'm thinking of getting the front and rear top strut bars. some one really makes a sway bar for this car?...

as soon as i get the car painted that ricer exhaust is coming off. i'm doing that after i aint it because i'm thinking of doing a "mini" style bosozoku exhaust. nothing too extreme, just enough to catch the style (if that makes any sense)...
