''New'' 2000 Formula
Well, after a few years with the I35 i've decided to part ways with it. It has been a very good car to me and have had fun with modding it. Gonna miss some of the amenities for sure lol. Anyway, I recently picked up a 2000 Pontiac Firebird Formula A4. Car is maple red metallic in color and is a hardtop, very rare combo. It has 44k miles, bone stock, and got it for $8000. A pretty sweet deal i thought
Here are a couple pics. I don't have a camera currently so yes i know the quality could be better. Pics were shot with a friends cell phone. Now to the car...

I thought most Formulas came with the ground effects?
Nice find, either way. I had a 2001 v6 Firebird for about a year...same color. Only difference was it had t-tops (which I miss terribly, but it's okay).
I kind of regret letting it go down the road now, because I haven't seen another car in this color since. I think there's maybe one Trans Am locally...and that's it.

Lol yes! Have always wanted an ls1 fbody and underhood pics will come soon.
Hmm, i don't recall formulas getting ground effects as a factory option(i'm wrong as hell probably). At least i haven't seen one with them that wasn't added from a donor v6 car or bought the kit seperately.
Gotta lot of plans for this thing in the future. Just gonna work on bolt on's and a good stall for now. Then when funds can allow, a good heads/cam/intake+spray setup. Will keep everyone posted

From the knowledge I have, Formula designated a stripped down version with the horsepower, not the looks, so I highly doubt the Formula's came with any ground effects.
Atleast that was the way the 2nd and 3rd gen Formula's were...

Yes, you are correct and it goes for any generation firebird afaik.

Update
Man, its been awhile since i've been on here lol
Anyway, an update...
So i buy the car several months back, everything was fine for a few months. Did nothing big to the car just some minor changes (TSP Lid, Custom Off Road Y pipe, Cutout). Bought a Diablosport Predator to do a little tuning with as well. I started messing with the line pressure and lets say things aren't going so well with the tranny (stock 4l60e).
Thought about picking up a Performabuilt tranny and a stall, but had recently decided to do a t56 swap instead...
t56 i picked up
I picked up an LS7 Clutch kit with LS2 Flywheel. I have the pedals, tranny crossmember, and shifter plate coming in the mail soon
I will update as more parts come in and as i go through the swap process.
Here is an engine shot as someone requested long ago
Oh so dirty lol
I picked up some longtube headers, y merger, and a dynomax bullet (not pictured) to make a full exhaust setup with...
more to come...

and has that thing been wrecked? That is not the stock formula hood. The formula has a WS6 "style" hood. Scoops werent quite as big, and there wasnt the horizontal bar in each scoop like the WS6

The car has never been wrecked lol or not that i know of anyway. The hood is the stock equipment. Base firebird's, trans am's, and formula's have this hood. WS6 formula's and trans am's come with the ram air hood that everyone has become familiar with. Firehawks have a similar design to the ws6 hood but the scoops are smoother and not as tall, they have a front bumper to accomodate the design as well so it looks like two big "nostrils" in front instead of four(like the ws6 formula/trans am).
