Yeah man I bet it is. That's my problem trying to find G35 wheels, I also have a set of AE wheels just taking up space. I use to be slammed on stocks lol. Looked sweet I thought!

If I saw those rims all by themselves, I wouldn't have given them even a passing thought. And yet, here on Maverick's car they look really unique and interesting. Must be the Gray Lustre and the chrome trim all coming together. (Because it's certainly not that ridiculous thing on his rear window.)

Agree...the chrome trim on the windows appear to match the rims well, but I think that ridiculous thing on the rear window sets it all off

And DAMN YOU Maverick! Your mention of your 2 sets of 5.5gen OEMs made me ask my shipping person for a quote from Fayetteville to Seattle

Are they the 6 spoke SEs?

so this weekend (Friday, actually) is gonna be install party time: Suspension, all 3 Oxygen sensors, maybe grounding kit, maybe new U bolts for the RSB. I am getting O2 codes that are coming back quicker and quicker, along with mileage that's not up to snuff anymore...so I figure with damn near 160K on her, it's time for Luna to get some new O2s. Standard Motor Products upstream and NTK downstream.

I went tard and tried an inferior front strut mount.
Paying for it now with a lot of squeaks.
I wasn't an org member when I made that decision.

Looks like your doing it right.

yeah, I hope so

Talked with DJFrestyl after I bought the kit and he reinforced what I had read by searching re: moog front strut mounts and OEM dust boots. Shouldn't need anything else.

******* Amazon. I ordered two moog strut mounts for the front... I finally get around to opening the box to look at em and they're not the same! Same label but not same part one had the bearing one does not. One had a solid center section one does not. So thanks to my prime I have another coming but I don't know when on Friday it's gonna show hope to God it's the right one though

Wheelgap like a normal car!

One issue that needs to be corrected though...the middle front strut nut on the passenger side is loose, the drivers too methinks...clunking while driving and when we pressed down on the suspension in the front we could physically feel the thing moving

Also got all new o2 sensors installed, all 3 brand new

Nice drop!!

I like it.

Have someone look at your mounts while you turn the wheel left to right fully and look for movement.

Tons better than stock though

This must be my problem as well! My right front strut clunks a lot, and the bolt looks out of place compared to the left strut. How are you going about fixing it, just tightening it? Thinking about doing it with an impact wrench...

A 4th gen with OEM 17" SE Rims really does look better the way you have it, Amerikaner. Normally I think all this "drop your ride" nonsense is for the kiddies, but even I have to admit the 4th Gen Maxima was disproportionately silly looking in this respect.

Looking good, buddy.

Thank you sir

This is the first car I've owned that I've actually modded...and up until this car I've never even entertained the idea, tbh. I agree, the 4th gen sits so high above the tires in stock form it's silly...especially since the driver actually sits lower in this car than in many others. I like the stock wheelgap of the third gens best, actually. Someone in another thread commented on how I now have stock 3rd gen wheelgap

Still deciding between the 5.5gen SE wheels or the G35 6 spokes when it comes time to replace my tires, but I've got a ways before that time occurs. I'm just about a year and a half on my Conti ExtremeContact DWS tires now, and I've still got plenty of tread left.

You say thats 1.5 inch drop...got links to what you bought? After I get my valve cover and upper oil pan leaks fixed, I just may invest. Don't want to go too low due to Maine winters but the 1.5 looks good

So I'm getting a RAPID clicking sound comiong from the front suspension when I'm turning the steering wheel...It's NOT the CVs because it happens when I'm completely stopped and turning the wheel.

http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...ing-wheel.html
^^ according to this thread, they say the strut mount bearing is to blame...but I got new bearings with the new strut mount.

Unless they call this thing the bearing:
Name: 20130524_103218_zps6a85d3b3.jpg
Views: 73

As you can see, it's not in the best of shape.
Name: 20130524_103203_zps84d9951e.jpg
Views: 87

Could THIS ^^ be my issue? And what the hell is it called anyhow? It's the thing that goes between the strut assembly and the wheel well. (rear shown, but front is in same condition)
