fuel filter, seat belt, clock and dash lights

Hello,
I have a 93 Maxima SE (107K) and I have four issues that I would appreciate anyone's help with if you can...

1. Where is the fuel filter located and is there anything special I need to know in order to replace it?

2. The seat belt light and ping continue, even though seat belt is on and is working. Any idea what the problem is and how to fix it?

3. My clock fades in and out (more out than in these days), any ideas?

4. Some of the light in the switches along the dash (cruise, AC, etc.) no longer work. I have seen the posts regarding the replacement bulbs, but how do you physically replace them?

1 - looks like a small can...firewall area..towards driver side
2 - theres a limiter switch you need to check out
3 - caps/solder needs to be swap/reheated
4 - open the switch up and take the small bulbs out of the switch and swap it

all else fails...try searching.

Hi...try the following

1. search
2. search
3. search
4. search

The "search" link is on the top right ...one added benefit of the search would be that you'll get to know a lot more about the problem and about your car that way and various opinions on it too...

btw...do you have a chilton's or Haynes manual for your car? that's very helpful for DIY stuff
good luck!

Okay, thanks. I get it, check the search. My first post here and I wasn't familiar with how things work. Thanks for the feedback.

about your seatbelt. nissan gives a lifetime warranty on the seat belt "system" so bring it to a dealership and they should fix it for you for free.

In my experience, they try and get out of replacing it as much as they can, but they do have to do it free.

the only thing wrong with my seat belts is that it wont retract all the way in. is that ground for having them fix it for free?
